Finally on the shelves!
When I first conceived this novel, I was so fascinated by Vilvy, a powerful female character – it might be related to my personal preference. I really enjoy the character of Vilvy, who is strong and protects the protagonist. The interaction between the protagonist and Vilvy as they chase each other in reverse is especially interesting. It's amusing to see the protagonist acting shy and bashful in Vilvy's arms.
Lia, on the other hand, is an incredibly adorable daughter – even without fully awakening her powers, she's already quite charming and oblivious. It's going to be really fun to watch the emotionless Vilvy and the angry Lia competing for the protagonist's attention. Lia is also a bit of a sickly character, but she hasn't fully awakened that aspect yet. She'll need to wait for another female figure to come along and provoke the protagonist, and when Lia's demonic charm finally awakens, she could even threaten Vilvy.
Now, let me show you a snippet of what will happen later in the story!
The brightly lit capital city, the heart of the empire: guards dressed in purple surround a dark castle. The queen sits on her throne, sipping a fine wine, seemingly oblivious to the screams and chaos happening outside. She can't hear their cries, nor see the blood-stained daggers, but a cruel smile adorns her lips...
"Listen to me," she says. "I can't save you, and I don't intend to. But if you want your child and your wife to live, give me Angelina's files now. I promise to protect them – even from the queen herself."
………………
"Little doggie, you always manage to surprise me. You're different from everyone else at my side; I find you intriguing. How about this, Vilvy, name anything that belongs to me, and I'll exchange it for the little doggie. Do you want richer land or a considerable amount of gold? Anything you ask for, I will give in exchange for him."
Queen Sissi smiles at Vilvy, gently taking her hand and asking.
Vilvy quietly gazes at the queen. She is the queen's most loyal soldier and most trusted confidante, never having disappointed her. Whatever the queen desires, Vilvy delivers – be it victory, dignity, or even the head of a demon king.
However, this time, Vilvy looks at the queen and gently shakes her head. "I'm sorry, Your Highness, I won't make the trade."
………………
"Ah, Trabulro! This is a gift we Elves bestow upon you! We've succeeded, and this is our present to our friends!" Lucia excitedly jumps off her horse, grabbing me by the neck and pointing to a carriage behind her. I'm stunned and say, "What? There's so much? We didn't expect so many gifts."
"Not many, just about four, maybe one doesn't count, but it doesn't matter. Trabulro, you can do whatever you want with them. Play with them until they're dead but don't cross the line."
"So, what exactly did you bring us!?"
"Of course, it's gifts from the Elves."
………………
"Your Majesty, although you're no longer queen, I've chosen to stand by your side, so I'll give you that title. However, I must make it clear that I'm not helping you this time because of you, but because Vilvy asked for my help. Our situation is unclear – the military has taken control of the capital, and the merchants' loyalties are uncertain. But I doubt any merchant would choose to help a former queen whose fate is unknown among the Elves. We have no soldiers at our disposal, and it's not suitable for Vilvy to step in this time. Therefore, I'm all you have for now."
"It feels... hopeless."
"Haven't I already said it, Queen Sissi? Don't you have me? Since this is what Vilvy wants, I'll help you reclaim your throne. As long as I'm here, that's enough."
