"Did you find anything?"

Lucia nimbly climbed in through the window and leaned over my back to ask me.

In front of me was a book that looked like it had been around for decades. I was afraid that it would tear with just a little bit of force. I could still understand the text on it, probably because of my inherited knowledge. Lucia's head peeked out from behind me, looking at the words in front of her, and said, "I feel like these things don't seem to be of much use."

I closed the book, nodded, and said, "Indeed, they're not useful. These are all about the habits of earth dragons. Now I understand the body structure and habits of earth dragons, but that has nothing to do with how to kill them."

I sighed and pushed the book away with some annoyance, saying, "It seems I can't help the elders. So far, I have no idea how to kill an earth dragon. Why does this world have such creatures? They are immune to both ordinary weapons and magic and have a lifespan of hundreds of years. They shouldn't exist at all."

"Earth dragons can be killed. In the end, the queen will definitely take action. The queen's magic is on a completely different level from ours. If she steps in, she will surely kill all the earth dragons."

Lucia casually lay down on my bed, and by nightfall, she was dressed in her battle gear. She turned around, knocking over a pile of books, and said, "For the queen, 'magic' is not a skill but a 'command'. You've seen how long it takes me to gather fire elements from the air to form a fireball, but for the queen, she can instantly gather all the fire elements in the surrounding air with a single command. This is the power of a god, the power of the queen. We need to gather elements, but the queen commands them."

"Then why doesn't Mother take action directly?"

I curiously looked at Lucia and asked.

Lucia spread her hands and said, "Because of you. Since you were born, the queen has declared that she would be a gentle mother, and no one has seen her hurt anyone or even use much magic since then. However, she did defend the capital in the last Child-Snatching War."

"Child-Snatching War?"

I asked again, puzzled. There aren't many reasons for war to break out. It could be for water, land, resources, or even just a disagreement. But what is the Child-Snatching War about? Taking children? Is it a war between two sides fighting over a child?

Lucia looked at me strangely, furrowing her brows, and said, "How could you not know about the Child-Snatching War? You should never forget it because the war was triggered by you. It was the most terrifying war waged by humans against elves, with the aim of abducting you."

"Ah...no, no...wait a minute, my brain can't keep up..." I closed my eyes and covered my forehead, yelling. What's going on? The Child-Snatching War was about grabbing me? What was the point of abducting me? What value do I have to humans? If humans wanted a hostage, would they need to launch a specialized war for that? Did they need a hostage from another country if they could capture the prince?

Moreover, what does this have to do with humans? Aren't I an elf? Logically speaking, since my mother is the queen of the elves, I shouldn't be a half-blood...

My ears!!

I suddenly remembered that my ears were shaped like a human's rather than an elf's! This meant that I might be a human and elf hybrid. Ah, that would make sense. Maybe the Elf Queen and a certain human had a relationship, and this human must have been influential enough to launch a war...In that case...

Could it be the king of humans?!!

No, no, no! Although I really don't want to admit it, it's quite possible! In all fairness, the queen of the elves only had a chance to interact with the human king, and maybe they fell in love and had a child, which is me. However, for some reason, they were separated, and my mother returned to the elves and became their queen. I was born afterward. The humans wanted to take me back, but my mother refused, so a war broke out...

Looking at it in this way, it can explain some things, but it can't explain others. It feels like the reason for the war was really far-fetched. Moreover, why wouldn't my mother let my biological father take me away? If they had been separated due to some reason, she wouldn't refuse to see me when they met again, would she? If the human king had moved on, why would he want me back? Did they need a hostage from another country if they could capture a prince?

And, what's the relationship between me and humans? Aren't I an elf? In theory, since my mother is the queen of the elves, I shouldn't be a mixed-blood...Right...

My ears!!

I suddenly thought of it, my ears are shaped like humans', not elves'! So maybe I'm a mixed-blood of humans and elves. Ah, it makes sense. Maybe the Elf Queen had an affair with a certain human in the past, and this human has enough influence to launch a war... In that case...

Is it the king of the humans?!!

No, no, no! Although I really don't want to admit it, it's very possible! Logically speaking, only the Elf Queen and human king may have some interaction, maybe they fell in love with each other, and then my mother was pregnant with me. But due to some reasons, they were separated. My mother returned to the Elf side and became the king, and I was born later. The human side wanted to take me back, but my mother refused, so the war broke out...

It seems to explain it this way, but it can't explain it... It feels like the reason for the outbreak of this war is really far-fetched. Moreover, why wouldn't my mother let my biological father take me away? If they had separated before for some reason, they wouldn't refuse to watch me again after they met again. If the human king transferred his love, why would he want to take me away? Would you need a hostage of another country's people if you could catch your opponent's prince?

And what does it have to do with me and humans? Am I not an elf? Logically speaking, since my mother is the queen of the elves, I should not be a mixed-blood...-Ah... What on earth is going on... It was a war that broke out around me, but I have no idea what happened! Thousands of people have died fighting for me, and the Elves were almost driven out. What is the reason for all this, and I can't ask Lucia now, because "I" must know the cause of this war.

"Please allow me to convey the greetings of Her Majesty the Queen on her behalf…"

Wait!!

I suddenly remembered the words that the Human diplomat said to me when I met him in the morning, conveying the greetings of Her Majesty the Queen on her behalf, which means…

The Human king is female!!

And my Human ears indicate that I am not an Elf, but a Human!

Maybe I was taken away or played by the Elves, then taken away by them, and the Elf queen adopted me, and eventually developed a mother-child relationship. Later, the Human queen who found out about me came to take me back, but the Elf queen did not agree, and the angry Human queen came to kidnap me… The reason why the Elf side's mother did not let me go out is to prevent me from running away to find my biological mother!

It seems to make sense like this... But no, the most important part is missing - that is, why I appeared on the Elf side. I know that my mother has a brother, could it be that the Human queen and my mother's brother had me, and then the Elves took me away with them? Men wouldn't take a child with them when running away, that's something usually done by women. And besides, why would my mother raise me so painstakingly when I have no relation to her at all?

It's unclear, completely incomprehensible, I've thought about all the possibilities and still don't understand, even my own race is unclear. I have Human ears, but I have magic in me. I have the characteristics of both Humans and Elves, I just know that I am a mixed-blood, but why am I mixed-blood, why is there a kidnapping war around me, who my father is, I have no idea.

"Time is up, I have to go. It seems that you don't have to worry about the earth dragon anymore, after all, Her Majesty will handle it. So, good night, Your Highness the Prince."

Lucia bowed slightly and then jumped onto the windowsill. I lowered my head, thinking about my own identity, not paying attention to her. Lucia should jump down directly soon, I don't need to worry.

"Um... Traui, please allow me to be nosy."

Suddenly, a soft whisper came from the window. I turned my head and looked at Lucia, who was still sitting by the window and hadn't left, tilted my head and asked, "What's up? Anything wrong?"

"Well... the earth dragon... If possible, I want you to solve it personally." Lucia turned back, her eyes, which usually seemed half-asleep and never fully opened, now shining like a full moon. She looked at me, pursed her lips, and said, "I don't want you to take risks either, I know how hard it is to kill an earth dragon, and I know you've experienced death once and don't want to go through it again... But you're a king, you're the next king of the Elves, you can't be more cowardly than others, you can't be weaker than others, you can't just watch Her Majesty... So I hope... you can solve this matter personally."

Lucia looked at me with complicated eyes, full of hope, pleading, heartache, and reluctance... She lowered her head, fell silent for a moment, and then said: "I'm not forcing you...just...just... I believe you can do it, I believe my prince can do it! You are the child of the Elf king, and even if you lose your Magic, you can do it! Don't give up! Don't give up! You can succeed! Because you are my... fiancé!"

Lucia looked up, her eyes filled with tears and a resolute expression. She was pleading with me. I don't know what happened between them before, perhaps "I" had been depressed because of the loss of Magic, or "I" just wanted to get rid of my mother's care, but anyway, now Lucia wants to inspire me.

The earth dragon is invulnerable, and I have no Magic.

How can I kill a group of earth dragons? How can I achieve that? I have already failed once before, but now I don't even have the experience from last time. I am just an ordinary person from a different world, how can I confront magical creatures that I have never heard of?There is not a creature in this world that cannot be killed.

I pinched the dragon scale that I had been carrying with me for the past two days, and looked at Lucia's expression as I clenched my teeth. The Earth Dragon must be killable; there must be a way to kill it. Whatever the method, there must be one; otherwise, I wouldn't have this scale in my hand.

"Lucia…"

I raised my head and looked at her, speaking calmly.

"What?"

She wiped her eyes, trembling slightly as she asked me.

"Where was the Earth Dragon Scale sold?"

"Generally speaking, merchants in the market often know…"

Lucia thought for a moment and then said, "But it doesn't matter, we are also an intelligence organization. Prince, you can ask whatever you want to know and I promise to get the correct information."

I nodded, well, if that's the case, then it will be easy. The Earth Dragon must be killable; otherwise, there wouldn't be such a product for sale. Since someone sells it, it means that this person knows how to obtain the Earth Dragon Scale. Maybe he bought it from someone else, but the Earth Dragon Scale definitely doesn't grow on the ground. If we follow this clue, we can find out who took the scale off the damned Earth Dragon.

"I hope you can help me find the source of the Earth Dragon Scale. I want to find which hunter or what kind of person it is. Since he can obtain this scale, it means that he can kill an Earth Dragon. If he can kill an Earth Dragon, then I can kill a group of Earth Dragons. If I can kill a group of Earth Dragons, then I can end this disaster."

I threw the Earth Dragon Scale in my hand to Lucia. Lucia caught it, looked at me, nodded, and was about to turn around to leave when…

"Didn’t your mother tell you not to look for Earth Dragons anymore?! Why don't you listen? As my son's fiancée, why do you have to seduce him into dangerous places?! You won't be relieved until he dies, will you?!”

Lucia screamed as a vine suddenly emerged from somewhere and tightly bound Lucia. I quickly turned around and saw my mother angrily waving her arm, with vines coming from all directions and forming a cage. Lucia was trapped inside, hanging outside the window.

The vines suddenly burst into fierce flames, burning like ancient human sacrifice cages. Lucia was still inside! Was she going to be burnt to death?!

"Aaahhh!!"

Lucia screamed in agony inside the burning vine cage, with my mother glaring at her coldly, yelling angrily, "You are the one who took my child out of the palace again today! Do you think you can do whatever you want because you have the love of my child?! I will not allow anyone to threaten my child! No matter who you are! If you do anything to threaten my child again, I will kill you even if you are my child's wife!”

"Mother! Stop it!"

I rushed over and knocked my mother down. The vine cage collapsed in an instant, and Lucia's small body tumbled through the collapsing vines, about to fall. She had lost consciousness and couldn't glide through the air! If she fell like this, she would certainly die! My room was the highest one in the entire palace. Although there were flower bushes below, Lucia couldn't perform a faith leap.

I don't know if my brain made a mistake or not, but I immediately stood up, rushed to the window sill, jumped out, and tightly held Lucia's small body.

Well, I was just an ordinary Elf.

No, a half-blood.

I couldn't use any Magic.

I didn't have the protection of a wind Elf either.

Then why did I jump out?

I don't know!!!

Even after transmigration, I still had to respect Newton's laws; I didn't have any power-ups or awakenings in critical situations. Instead, I just fell right away. Lucia, who was in my arms with her eyes closed, couldn't protect me anymore. The howling wind exploded in my ears, and I felt death approaching as I plunged straight towards the ground. The palace walls had no railings or anything at all…

I quickly adjusted my body, putting Lucia on top of me and cushioning the fall. This wouldn't help much from such a high place, but it was better than nothing. I was here to save Lucia in the first place. Even if I was powerless in the end, I wanted to die as a savior.Goodbye! I'm going to be reborn once more!
