Returning to the house, Lorrah was completely exhausted. She threw her things on the floor without a care for her appearance and flopped down on the sofa, not wanting to get up again.

"Finally… home…" Lorrah murmured. From the moment she landed on the couch, she felt like she was revived.

However, a dull ache still persisted in her arm. She glanced at Loren over there, seated comfortably in a chair, surfing the web on his Alpha X, and her eyes reflected resentment. Even during the journey, her ruthless master didn't aid her in carrying the bags for a second.

“Lorrah, I’m thirsty. Pour me a glass of juice from the fridge.” Loren said while scrolling through his tablet.

Lorrah: ̄へ ̄

If grudges could be quantified, Loren could definitely see a constant stream of "Grudge +999" popping up above Lorrah's head.

Loren, however, was browsing through a shopping site. It was about time to snap up some new items. Recently, "Treasure Hunt Website" had released a great selection of items from which Loren had bought most of his magic scrolls and rings.

Loren had already stockpiled enough ordinary magic scrolls, so he was only interested in top-quality items. Newly released artifacts from the Holy Light series were great. A single click from Loren’s finger and it all went into the cart. His epic-level account was truly convenient. While others were clinging to flash sales, Loren had the priority to purchase and essentially swept the entire store.

“Once this batch arrives, the study of heavenly magic can be initiated." Loren thought to himself, taking a sip from the juice Lorrah handed him with a resigned expression.

“Why didn't you add ice?" Loren frowned as he remarked.

Why didn’t you ascend to heaven... Lorrah held back her anger. But being a maid, she could only maintain her smile and once again fetched Loren a new glass.

“My shoulders ache a bit, give it a rub.” Loren said again without waiting for Lorrah to catch a breath.

Pouting, Lorrah said, "My hands really hurt, can't I rest for a while?"

Loren thought about it and said, "....Okay."

Lorrah had already prepared a long speech to convince Loren, but this response left her speechless.

When did he become so kind? She wondered.

However, by the next moment, one sentence from Loren almost killed her.

“Okay, your momentary rest is over. Now rub my shoulders."

Lorrah: “???”

She felt rage taking form inside her.

Seeing the furious expression on Lorrah's face, Loren expressed surprise: “Didn’t you already take a quick rest? Why are you still so resentful?"

"I meant a substantial rest, not literally a moment!" Lorrah retorted, teeth clenched.

“If that's the case, then why didn't you state it clearly earlier? How would I know how long you wanted to rest?” Loren wore a sudden look of understanding on his face.

"I want to rest for an hour, " Lorrah said as she sighed.

“Oh…” Loren nodded his head: "Denied."

Lorrah: “???” Why are you nodding then?!!

"Why not?" Trying not to explode, Lorrah questioned him.

"Because you already had a moment of rest earlier. If you wish to rest more, wait for the next turn," Loren answered.

"But I didn't clarify that earlier!!"

“Exactly... since you didn't explain earlier, you squandered your chance to rest. Though I empathize with you, it was you who were unclear.”

“……”

Tears welled up in Lorrah's eyes. He was definitely doing this on purpose, the wicked demon king!

In the end, Lorrah had no option but to suck up the pain in her arm and massage Loren's shoulders. And throughout this ordeal, as if venting her grievances, Lorrah applied extra strength. But to her despair, Loren seemed to immensely enjoy the session…

After resting, taking into consideration that Lorrah's current dishes were not edible, Loren ordered delivery straight away.

Lorrah gave this a double thumbs up. However, when the delivery service brought food and lots of ingredients, Lorrah had a puzzled look on her face.

"What should I eat?"

With eyes wide open, Lorrah watched as Loren ate a hot slice of pizza. The golden and rich cheese exuded a strong aroma, topped with large pieces of chicken, bacon, and vegetables like mushrooms and tomatoes, which caused Lorrah's mouth to water incessantly.

"Isn't the food you should eat here?"

Loren glanced at her, pointed at the pile of ingredients at his feet that had not been processed, and spoke.

Lorrah widened her eyes: "How can I eat these raw stuff?"

"That's why you can cook them in the kitchen."

"But I can't prepare these things. What if I get food poisoning?" Lorrah protested indignantly.

Loren thought for a bit, and said, "It doesn't matter since I'm not the one eating it."

Lorrah, "...???" This was her first encounter with such a shameless human being, and she almost had the impulse to break her seal and annihilate Loren.

Of course, this thought only flashed by. Feeling a bit aggrieved, she glanced at Loren and reluctantly dragged the pile of ingredients into the kitchen.

Smelling the aroma of the pizza, Lorrah's stomach was already growling with hunger. Under such circumstances, she had no choice but to step up to the challenge.

"Good luck."

Seeing Lorrah struggling with the bags, Loren even encouraged her: "If you can prepare something edible sooner, I won't have to order delivery."

Hearing this parting shot, Lorrah almost stumbled and fell.

This guy is definitely a demon!

Lorrah thought spitefully, once she improved her cooking skills, she would certainly sprinkle some strange things into Loren's food to make him suffer from diarrhea every day!

As it turned out, people starving do have potential. Lorrah's first attempt at cooking may have produced something that tasted bad and was hard to swallow, but it could still fill the stomach.

Picturing her food as the pizza that Loren was eating, Lorrah managed to finish her lunch. To her surprise, Loren was still left with more than half of his pizza uneaten.

Seeing Lorrah emerging from the kitchen, her hand on her little tummy, Loren looked at her with an odd expression on his face and said hesitantly, "You didn't really have your lunch with the food you cooked, did you?"

Staring blankly at him, Lorrah then looked at the half-eaten pizza on the table.

"I was only teasing you earlier, trying to push you to practice your cooking...Didn't realize you are so honest," Loren remarked, clicking his tongue.

Touching her slightly swollen stomach, thinking about the tasteless failed dish she had swallowed with difficulty, Lorrah couldn't help but burst into tears.

"Silly...boo hoo...I'm going to ignore you from now on!"
