Chapter 5
"Xiling Snow Mountain! I'm here!"
William Wei got off the car, a bit excited.
He is such a person, restless, like Samson Nan sitting at work all day, it would take his life.
The car drove to the foot of the mountain and found a place to park.
The ski resort is halfway up the mountain, and there are two ways to go up, by cable car or on foot.
"I want to take the cable car!"
Raina Nan insisted, she had never taken one before.
"Taking the cable car is so boring~ Climbing the mountain is so much better!"
William Wei said his buttocks would get sore if he sat any longer.
"Then you can climb slowly! It's high and cold! We girls can't stand it~"
Jocelyn York said, winking at Raina Nan, but got ignored.
"Samson Nan, don't mind them, let's go together! Forget about them!"
William Wei pulled him.
"All right."
"You dare!"
Raina Nan glared at him angrily.
She didn't want to be alone with Jocelyn York, it would be so awkward.
He shook his head at William Wei, looking helpless.
"Sister control! Fine, I'll wait for you guys at the ski resort!"
He turned and left, leaving a lonely figure behind.
And to wait for them at the ski resort…
They bought tickets, and the three of them got on the cable car.
Even though it was just entering autumn, the Xiling Mountain Range was already covered with snow.
The cable car swung through the mountains, and below was a vast expanse of white.
"It's so high..."
Raina Nan knelt on the seat, her small palms pressed against the glass.
"It's so beautiful, like cotton candy~"
Jocelyn York leaned her chin on her hand contentedly.
It's beautiful? Like cotton candy? The tomboy from the past actually had such girlish feelings. He couldn't help but wonder what she had experienced over the years?
He stared at the pale snow and felt colder the more he looked at it.
"Raina, want some chocolate?"
Jocelyn York took out a chocolate bar from her bag.
She glanced back at her and turned away.
"No thanks."
"Raina Nan!"
He was unhappy because she was not polite.
"I hate sweets!"
She emphasized word by word.
"What's with that attitude!"
"No attitude…"
She didn't back down, but her voice softened a lot.
"Raina Nan, who would bring you out to play if you behave like this?"
He was really a little angry, his white face stiff and frozen.
"It's not like I wanted to come..."
She lowered her head, like a child who had done something wrong.
"Why are you yelling at her? It's my fault, I didn't know Raina doesn't like sweets~ Hehe, it's alright~"
Jocelyn York hurriedly appeased him.
"Sorry."
Sitting in the cable car, time seemed to pass too slowly.
He even thought that William Wei would arrive at the ski resort before the annoying cable car.
…
The skiing process seemed far less happy than imagined.
"Hand."
Samson Nan reached out to hold Raina Nan's hand, as she couldn't ski at all.
"I can do it myself!"
She refused.
Then she crashed into the safety net because she couldn't stop, but luckily she wasn't going fast.
He watched her from a distance, like a toddler learning to walk, adorable and clumsy.
Unconsciously, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl up.
"What are you laughing at? It's disgusting!"
Jocelyn York slid over to him and stopped.
"Nothing, are you having fun?"
He put away his fleeting smile.
"I'm having so much fun! I haven't played like this in a long time~ I don't want to go to work!!"
"Then don't go, your dad is so rich."
"That's his money, not mine! Do I look like a parasite?!"
"No!"
She's an independent woman, he knew, and perhaps there weren't many girls like her.
"By the way, Samson Nan, does Raina have a problem with me?"Hating beating around the bush, that's also her.
"No way."
"Yes! I'm telling you, there definitely is! She wasn't like this with William Wei! Did I do something to make her angry?"
Did she forget that time in high school when she quarreled with Raina Nan?
Although Samson Nan didn't think his sister was such a vengeful person, he couldn't think of any other reason.
"Don't think too much~"
His smile put people at ease.
"Is that so..."
"Just let it go. How about this, we'll go to the hot springs tonight, and it's on me~"
There were many hot spring hotels on the snow mountain, and they were all natural hot springs, so the prices were naturally high.
Just take it as paying for Raina Nan's rudeness.
...
It was getting late, and after thinking about it, they decided to stay at the hotel for the night.
They chose a nice hot spring hotel, where the male and female hot springs were separated. It was said that the water even had herbal additives that could help relax muscles.
Samson Nan changed his clothes and headed for the men's hot spring.
On the way, he saw Raina Nan standing at the entrance of the women's hot spring, wrapped in a towel and lost in thought.
"Rain, what's going on?"
"Eh?! Brother?"
She turned around and saw him, startled.
"Why don't you go in?"
"No, I was just about to..."
She quietly shifted her gaze away.
"Oh."
He prepared to leave, but after taking a few steps, he came back.
"I'll watch you go in."
"Eh?! Why?!"
"Because I want to."
He figured that she was acting a little strange.
"You, you're sick! I don't want to soak now!!"
She stomped her foot, blushing with anger.
"Did you start your period?"
"You!!"
Her face turned crimson instantly.
"No way, it's really..."
"It's all because of your jinx!"
She stared at him, embarrassed and angry.
It was only then that he remembered saying such a thing at the foot of the mountain.
"It's all your fault! Now I can't even enjoy the hot spring anymore, are you satisfied? Wuu..."
Blaming him for not remembering her own menstrual cycle? He gave a bitter smile.
"Okay, it's my fault. Put on your clothes first!"
"Where to...?"
Her voice was still a bit tearful, but her hand was already being pulled away by him.
...
"Wait for me here."
He brought her to the hotel lobby, found a small sofa, and told her to sit down.
In a blink of an eye, he brought a cup of warm brown sugar water and placed it in front of her.
"Drink this, it'll help."
"Oh."
She looked at him, touched and warmed inside.
He watched her until she obediently finished the drink.
"Brother."
"Hmm?"
"Was I being especially willful today?"
"You know it!"
He playfully pinched her nose.
"So are you mad?"
"Of course, I even feel like tearing open your pants and spanking you!"
"Are you my brother or a hooligan..."
She muttered quietly.
"You're talking back again!"
"I didn't! I know I was wrong! But..."
"But?"
"But you cursed me for that woman! You've never cursed me before!"
She gathered courage and said it, looking aggrieved.
"Woman? Georgia?"
"Who else would it be?"
"Ah, I thought it was something else. Besides, you were the one who was wrong! Shouldn't I scold you instead of her?"
He patted her head, smiling so innocently.
But she pushed away his hand.
"I'm your sister! What does she count as?"
"A friend?"
"Fine, if both of us fell into a river at the same time, who would you save first?!"
Pfft! He burst out laughing.
"Don't laugh!"
He always thought the ones asking this type of question were either small-town wives in domestic soap operas or heroines in melodramatic Korean dramas.
"I'd save her first."
The words slipped out almost unthinkingly.
"Samson Nan! Don't go too far!"
She yelled his name in anger and raised her hand to slap him.
"Rain, don't you know how to swim? Of course, I have to save her first!"
He caught her slender wrist and pulled her into his arms."You!!"
Her frail body seemed like a defenseless little creature in front of him.
"Call me brother!"
"No!"
He put his forehead against hers, close enough to hear the rise and fall of their breaths.
"Not saying it, huh? Don't regret it~"
He had a cheap grin on his face.
"Samson Nan? Hey!! Ouch!"
William Wei hadn't seen him and thought he had gone somewhere, but it turns out...
"Sorry to interrupt you two! I deserve to die, deserve to die~!"
"Brother Wei, no, it's this idiot..."
She blushed, trying to explain, but William Wei had already slipped away.
She turned back and glared at him fiercely.
"It's not my fault!"
He raised both hands, displaying an innocent and unaccountable expression ╮(╯▽╰)╭
"Pervert!"
She cursed him and left.
...
At night, most people were asleep.
Samson Nan came to the hot spring alone again. It would be a shame not to enjoy it since they were in a hot spring hotel, right? Otherwise, it would be a waste of his money.
He sat in the water, leaning against the rock wall, with only half of his head exposed.
Not thinking about anything, this feeling might not be bad.
But he couldn't completely stop thinking.
He thought about the feeling of holding Raina Nan just now, so soft and light. Are all girls like this?
When he came back to his senses, his head had been completely submerged in the water, bubbling up to the surface.
What am I thinking about...
