Day after day, before she knew it, Cyclone had been working for a month.

She’d been forced into it, and Cyclone had no right to choose anyway.

So, at first, Cyclone resisted.

But as the days passed, she found it wasn’t such a big deal.

Because…

“Hehehe~ It’s so quiet again today~”

There were no patients.

It wasn’t that Kakarl had no injured people. Somehow, not a single person had suffered serious enough injuries to need “surgery.”

It was a rare Great Dragon Festival, and both the people and the travelers were having a wonderful time.

With so many people packed together, the lively crowds naturally hid countless causes of accidents.

The truth was, accidents happened every day. But the worst cases were broken bones or surface wounds.

Perhaps because the Great Dragon Festival was a long-running celebration, everyone played carefully, hoping to stay alive until its final day.

Of course, no one could say what the real truth was.

But with luck on her side, Cyclone had spent the whole month idling away her days.

There were also rumors that some event organizers, fearing their businesses would be forcibly shut down before the festival ended, secretly sent accident victims to doctors outside the Water Shrine’s jurisdiction.

In short, Cyclone was very free.

Free to the point of boredom.

Normally, Cyclone wouldn’t put up with days this dull.

She could turn around and run. Staying home or working as a black-market doctor would both be better than idling here.

However, the High Priest was a terrifying monster. He had actually sent Hilmirya to be Cyclone’s personal nurse.

“See you later~”

“S-See you later…”

At the windowsill, Hilmirya waved at the trainee nuns leaving the church.

Hilmirya looked incredibly happy.

Unfortunately, no one knew that Cyclone was standing right behind her.

After wiping the water from her hands, Cyclone grinned wickedly.

“Who would’ve thought~ In just one short month, you’d already be able to get this wet~”

It was still afternoon, and Cyclone could go home after another little while.

Before that, though, she still had her daily routine.

“So? You’re not resisting anymore?”

“I-It’s all because of those red pills…”

Cyclone took out a red candy and held it to Hilmirya’s lips.

“But you can’t resist, can you?”

Hilmirya said nothing. She stuck out her little tongue and licked Cyclone’s hand.

When the candy disappeared from Cyclone’s hand, Hilmirya instinctively covered her mouth.

Once again, after toying with Hilmirya to her heart’s content, Cyclone happily strolled home.

She walked down the bustling main street, heading straight toward her house.

But when Cyclone opened her front door, her mood instantly plummeted.

What appeared before her wasn’t her home.

It was hell.

Elyse was actually making dinner?!

With her belly swollen, an apron tied around her, and her hair bound up, Elyse stood at the center of Hell’s Kitchen.

“W-What the hell are you doing?!”

“M-Making dinner!”

Cyclone looked left and right.

Nothing about this seemed like making dinner.

“Are you… making a biological weapon?”

Eyeing the scene suspiciously, Cyclone looked at Elyse, who was sweating profusely.

More than two months had passed, and Elyse’s belly had grown visibly large.

She had to lean against the counter just to remain standing.

Waving the cleaver in her hand, Elyse shouted,

“I’m cooking! Cooking!!!”

“You know you’re heavily pregnant. Stop messing around and get some proper rest.”

Cyclone swallowed as she stared at the black, wriggling thing on the table.

It was a Shock Cat.

“You’ve made such a mess. Won’t Little Dragon have to clean it up for you?”

“I-It’s fine…”

Just then, Little Dragon answered from behind Cyclone.

“Don’t you have your last qualifier tomorrow? Let your husband…”

Cyclone was about to turn around and stop Little Dragon, planning to clean up the scene herself.

But right in front of Cyclone, Little Dragon suddenly collapsed.

Cyclone immediately caught her and looked at her blazing-red cheeks.

“This is… a high fever?!”
