(386) The Second Surgery

386,

After laying the patient on the bed, Dudu quickly gathered all the scattered equipment and brought it in front of Cyclone.

Everything that was missing from the last surgery now appeared.

"What's this?"

Asked Cyclone, but Dudu didn't reply as time was of the essence.

There were a total of three different items: two support frames, two water bags, and a Magicite Crystal.

"You need to lie down too!"

Dudu said to his brother, who had no physical issues.

At first, he naturally refused.

Dudu showed understanding, so while organizing the equipment, he explained.

"Your brother doesn't have enough blood, so we need to both give him a blood transfusion and perform the surgery at the same time!"

"What?!"

Cyclone broke into a cold sweat upon hearing about the blood transfusion.

Dudu continued to explain.

"These tools will connect your blood vessels, and with the help of this water-based Magicite Crystal, they will push your blood pressure to transfuse blood to your brother."

Several question marks popped up over Cyclone's head, not to mention the man beside him.

But Dudu yelled out.

"Do you want to save your brother or not?"

Finally, the man clenched his teeth and lay down on the bed.

"Mr. Cyclone, help me take out the water bottles from that box."

Although still confused, Cyclone followed Dudu's instructions.

Dudu gestured for Cyclone to pour the water from the bottles onto a piece of cloth and then place it on the faces of the two brothers.

At one point, Cyclone poured too much water, prompting Dudu to directly discard the inadequate cloth to the ground and start over.

Watching Dudu's earnestness, Cyclone fell silent and began to work seriously.

It was only later that Cyclone understood the significance of these tools.

When dealing with a critically injured patient, in addition to surgery, the duration of the operation also had to be considered.

Dudu, as an experienced individual, knew that this surgery couldn't be rushed; it required time.

And with the patient currently losing blood continuously, if the surgery took too long, the patient could die.

To meet the basic requirement of sustaining the patient's life, Dudu needed to provide extra blood for him.

His brother was the best helper, and Dudu also needed tools for the blood transfusion.

Typically, some doctors would learn a bit of water-based magic themselves, while others would have one or two assistants well-versed in water-based magic.

Unfortunately, Dudu, who possessed fire-based abilities, and Cyclone, who had no magical abilities at all, couldn't use water-based magic.

Therefore, there were many lone doctors like Dudu who relied on using a water-based Magicite Crystal, along with tools, to control the "flow" of blood.

On the other hand, the cloth placed over the faces of the two was actually soaked in an anesthetic with sedative properties.

Unlike the previous procedure on the puppy, this time, a full-body anesthesia was required to perform multiple stitches on the patient.

As for why the brother also needed anesthesia, it was probably to ensure that he wouldn't disrupt the surgery and let him sleep peacefully for a while.

"This..."

Dudu uttered a praise for Cyclone's speed during the surgery.

Awesome...

Dudu watched Cyclone's movements intently.

Based on their memory of the day, Dudu was certain that it was Cyclone's first surgery.

But now, not only was the stability high, there was also a noticeable increase in speed.

Had they been practicing? No... normally...

"Hey! What's the next step?"

Just as Dudu was unintentionally zoning out, Cyclone called out.

"Wrap the right foot like this, and next is over here."

Although unable to lend a hand, precisely because of that, the surgery was essentially completed by Cyclone alone.

In such a situation, a normal person would typically experience extraordinary pressure, especially when sewing on the flesh and blood of a living person.

Dudu remembered trembling during their first surgery on a living being.

And now, observing Cyclone’s resolute determination, stable movements, and unwavering mental strength even after hours of surgery, Dudu felt genuine admiration for the man standing before them.

Was this Allen's hero? No... more than a hero... this man was...

Three hours and twenty minutes later, a total of fifty-seven stitches, top to bottom.

With Dudu's declaration, Cyclone's second surgery finally came to an end.
