I took out gauze and disinfectant from the medical kit. I dipped a medical cotton swab in alcohol to clean Zhiye's wound. Perhaps because it hurt, Zhiye's hand flinched a little.

"Just bear with it for a moment, it'll be fine soon," I said, even though I had a million words of reproach in my mind. But right now, I was completely focused on stopping the bleeding and bandaging Zhiye's wound. I tried my best not to hurt her as I cleaned off the bloodstains and wrapped her wrist with gauze, making a small knot.

During the process of bandaging Zhiye, she just stared at me blankly.

"The bleeding has stopped, but don't exert any force, or the wound will open up and the bleeding will continue," I cautioned.

Zhiye looked at the spot where I had bandaged her, a faint blush appearing on her face.

"This is the second time Jie has bandaged me," Zhiye spoke as if reminiscing.

"I don't want there to be a third time, you know," I replied, unable to recall the first time due to a blurred memory. I didn't want to experience something like this again.

"But I want there to be a third time, a fourth time. Even if I bleed to death, I'm willing," Zhiye said with a resolute tone.

"No more third or fourth times. This kind of behavior should not happen again!" I said in an unarguable tone.

Zhiye lowered her head, looking somewhat sad.

"By doing this, you're not only harming yourself but also causing trouble for others," my stance prevented me from being soft-hearted. Allowing such actions to happen to Zhiye would not benefit her in any way and would cause irreparable harm to her body.

"It's okay. As long as I can be treated gently by Jie, it doesn't matter," Zhiye spoke as if she had no regard for life or death.

Ignoring my advice, Zhiye just lowered her head and looked at me with a hint of sadness, not saying a word.

"It's getting late, I think it's better to rest early," I said in order to escape from this awkward situation.

"Goodnight," Zhiye said softly before slowly turning and walking towards her own room.

Unable to resist the invasion of drowsiness, I yawned and went back to my room to sleep.

When I woke up in the morning, it was already morning. The sunlight streaming in through the curtains made my eyes uncomfortable. I quickly adjusted my eyes while yawning and walked out of the bedroom.

"Good morning, You."

"Good morn...ing," I yawned, unable to greet properly. It was unexpected that even though I didn't sleep very late, I still felt tired in the early morning. But after seeing who it was, I woke up from my lethargy.

The person in front of me was the suspicious beauty named Yu Xi who unexpectedly visited yesterday. From her sudden intrusion into the changing room last night (even though it was to help) and her evasive answers to my questions, I felt full of suspicion.

"What are you thinking, You?" she asked, looking at me with a puzzled expression. It made me a little guilty, so I disguised it and said, "Nothing, nothing," then headed straight to the washroom.

After finishing my morning routine and returning to the living room, Zhiye poked her head out in the kitchen and said, "Breakfast is almost ready."

"Okay, I got it," I replied. In fact, I felt guilty relying on Zhiye for all these things psychologically. I also wanted to contribute something for Zhiye, but I was afraid that if I intervened, it might disrupt her rhythm and actually do more harm than good.

While I was thinking about all of this, I heard Zhiye's voice saying that breakfast was ready. I went to the dining table and there were impeccable fried eggs placed on it, the color was perfect, truly beyond words. Of course, there were also various other options for a typical breakfast. After finishing the fried eggs, I could try the sandwich as well.

The feast was truly abundant, and I had to thank Zhiye for it. However, besides expressing gratitude, there was something else that caught my attention, which was Zhiye's injury.

"Is the wound still painful? Is it still bleeding?" I asked.

"It doesn't hurt. Jie did a great job in bandaging it, the wound is healing and I believe it will get better soon," Zhiye replied with a smile.

"But still, be careful not to let water touch the wound," I reminded, and Zhiye nodded. I continued eating breakfast.

Just as I was about to enjoy the fried eggs, a slightly burnt fried egg was suddenly placed in front of me, accompanied by an enthusiastic voice.

"You, this is the egg Xi fried. Try it quickly!"
