On the way back to send An Lisi home, we didn't say a word and the atmosphere was somewhat heavy. I matched An Lisi's pace with slower steps and tried hard to say something, but I couldn't find the right words to comfort her. This feeling made me very anxious and helpless. Soon, we arrived at An Lisi's apartment. We went upstairs, turned left, and stopped at the third door. An Lisi stopped and took out her keys to open the door. As the door slowly closed, I felt like it was pushing open a door to darkness. The moment An Lisi stepped into the apartment, darkness seemed to swallow her.

"Sorry, Yougege, I want to be alone for a while." She now seemed completely hopeless about the future. As she was about to close the door, I blurted out without thinking, "There's no obstacle that can't be overcome, and a father like that is not worth feeling sad for." I said this because I had been suppressed for too long, but the door still closed. With a click, it felt like An Lisi had cut off all ties with the outside world again. I felt frustrated but could only go back to my own home like a drowning dog.

Once home, I went straight to my bedroom and threw myself onto the bed. Even though I felt extremely unhappy, there was nowhere to vent.

During dinner, I ate my mother's meal with a gloomy face. "Youjie, is something wrong? You seem unhappy," my mother said, always wearing an optimistic expression no matter the time.

"Ah...nothing," I replied and continued eating.

"Are you sure?" My mother's eyes were filled with suspicion.

"There's really nothing. By the way, Mom, you cooked so many dishes again. Don't waste so much openly like this. There's too much to finish," I vented my earlier frustration in this way.

"What? Youjie doesn't like Mom's cooking?" Her eyes started to sharpen again, a clear sign that she would resort to violence.

"Liking and cooking too much are two different things!" I retorted loudly.

The atmosphere suddenly became quiet. When it felt like only my echoes of yelling surrounded me, I realized I had lost control a bit. I felt ashamed but still pretended nothing had happened and continued eating.

"Then Mom won't cook so many dishes from now on." My mother's expression also seemed a bit bleak. It seemed she was also unhappy because of my words.

Although I really wanted to apologize, I still didn't say anything and returned to my room after finishing my meal.

I was still lying on the bed, and my mood still couldn't improve. After who knows how long, I suddenly heard a knocking on the door.

"Youjie gege? Are you asleep?"

"The door isn't locked..." I said towards the door. I got off the bed, and the door was pushed open. Feiya appeared in front of me. She was wearing pajamas, seemingly prepared to go to sleep. But why did she come to find me again?

"Is there something you need?" I asked.

"Did Youjie gege encounter something unhappy?" Feiya's eyes, like they could reveal all hidden things, were fixed on me.

"No, nothing. Where did you get that idea?" I brushed it off. How could I tell a elementary school student something like that? No, I can't do it anymore. I also have my principles and my self-esteem.

"At dinner, Youjie gege looked very angry, unlike before."

"What was different?" Can't one explode when pushed to the limit?

"It felt like you were genuinely angry." Isn't anger supposed to be genuine?

"Mother has done this kind of thing more than once. She cooks so many dishes, but we can't finish them all. She won't change unless we talk to her about it."

"The problem lies here," Feiya pointed out the core of the issue, like a detective.

"What is it?" I couldn't help but ask.

"The problem exists in that sentence you just said," Feiya said seriously. I couldn't understand what the core of the problem was. Was it going to lead to a shocking murder case or a mysterious disappearance of an object?

"What problem?" I felt clueless like a child.

"Youjie, please repeat the sentence you just said," Feiya said with a detective-like air. Has Feiya been watching detective dramas lately? It feels a bit inexplicable, but I repeated the sentence: "I said Mother cooks so many dishes, but we can't finish them all. We should talk to her about it."

"The point of doubt is the phrase 'we should talk to her about it,'" Feiya decisively stated.

"Don't you want to talk to Mother?" I asked in astonishment.

"Of course Feiya wants to, but Mommy is a ninth-degree black belt. Feiya might get killed if she's not careful." Oh, so Feiya is also afraid of Mother. But from what I can see, Mother favors Feiya a lot. How could she use dangerous skills like a throat lock or a shoulder throw on Feiya?

"So what's the big deal? How does it relate to the sentence I said?" Even if she's a ninth-degree black belt, she should still be criticized if she does something wrong.

"Maybe there's indeed no connection..." It feels like she's talking a lot of nonsense. Suddenly, I felt tired.

"But..." Feiya was trying to build suspense,

"But what?" Feiya, you're really making me anxious with this way of speaking.

"Youjie, you're very stubborn!" Feiya said calmly.

"Stubborn? So what I said is completely correct, isn't it natural to be stubborn?" I replied.

"Even if you're right, Youjie, you still act like you're going to resist, but in the end, you'll just obediently accept it, right?"

"Even if that's the case, today I can't tolerate it anymore," I'm not planning to easily surrender to Feiya.

"Even so, Youjie will still be overpowered by Mommy's violence," although it's true, don't say it so bluntly. It brings back the humiliation I endured as a child.

The situation is turning against me more and more. The many flaws are causing my fortress to collapse. I must come up with a solution.

"Actually, the problem is not with me, right?" Feiya looked surprised by my statement, but soon showed a relaxed expression as if to say, at this crucial moment, what else can you argue about?

"Cough, Mother did not get angry and quietly accepted it, didn't she?" Thinking back, Mother at that time was not burning with anger but rather unpleasantly accepting it.

"It seems so," even Feiya is starting to waver. Children really can't beat adults.

"But..." just as I was about to smile in victory, Feiya's sudden twist made me nervous again.

"Youjie, your bad mood has been written all over your face since dinner started. Feiya thinks no one can deliberately show that, and even if they do, there will be flaws." When did this girl become so smart?

"Uh... I was speechless. I couldn't possibly say that I'm an actor, right?

"It seems like Youjie is in a bad mood. Is there something bothering you? Can Feiya listen and make you feel better by sharing your unhappiness?"

It's so complicated.

"Not really..." I replied casually.

"Are you unwilling to tell me? Or are you worried that Feiya will let it slip? Please rest assured, as long as Mommy doesn't ask, Feiya won't tell her."

Feiya said seriously, but this seriousness made me even more worried.

"Can you really do that?" It's uncomfortable to keep this to myself. Maybe it would feel better to say it out loud.

"Yes, yes!" Feiya nodded vigorously.

"Well, if you break your promise, we won't be able to watch TV anymore, and I'll have to attack your temples a hundred times."

"A hundred times?" Feiya covered her temples in fear.

"Do you understand?!"

"Yes~ yes," Feiya reluctantly agreed.

Seeing that Feiya was prepared, I told her the whole story, but I omitted some details and only mentioned the core content that made me unhappy.

"Youjie, do you have a crush on another girl again? This is so annoying! Why is it that wherever Youjie goes, there's always something to do with girls?" Feiya murmured, sounding surprisingly mature for a child.

"Feiya?"

"So, Youjie became unhappy because of this girl named An Lisi, right? Youjie really has moved on. Maybe it's a good thing, but... Feiya doesn't think it's a good thing. Why is Feiya still a child? Why is there such a big age gap between Feiya and Youjie? It's so unfair, too unfair. Is there any fast-developing potion? Feiya wants to become a high school student, to have the same school status as Youjie, and be able to go to school together every day. Maybe we can even have a forbidden love, and at that time, Feiya wouldn't hesitate... because there would be no control. Feiya, as a bad girl, would give her first kiss..."

Snap! I slapped Feiya on the head.

"Ouch" She reacted quite well.

"That hurts... sob." Feiya's nose twitched as tears welled up in her eyes. Did I hit her too hard?

"What were you muttering just now?"

"Huh? Youjie... Feiya didn't say anything." Feiya pouted, her face swollen. Why does she look so cute? No, no, how can I have such a heart-fluttering feeling towards a child, especially since she's my sister? Even though in anime, siblings cross the line and end up together, then take a train to a new and unknown place to start their new lives...

Are you asking if I'm talking about "Euphoria x Sora"? No, I'm not watching that anime.

"Then why do you seem a little unhappy?"

"Feiya isn't unhappy at all," Feiya said with a pout, turning her face away. Don't imitate Su Yuqian, really.

"Well, you can go back to your room and sleep now." I pushed Feiya towards the door, ready to send her out.

"Youjie, what are you doing?" Feiya asked in confusion.

"Listen, shouldn't you just go back to your room and go to sleep? It's getting late," she said.

"Feiya hasn't helped Youjie solve his problem yet," she said.

"I will solve this problem on my own, but thanks to you, my mood has improved a lot. At least now I won't fly onto the bed and vent my anger on the pillow," she said.

"Feiya only knows how to cause trouble," Feiya said with some disappointment.

"Go back to your room and go to sleep," she said.

"Youjie, can we sleep together?" I suddenly shut the door.

"Hey... Youjie, can't Feiya sleep with you?" Feiya asked while knocking on the door.

"Don't create this imaginary situation for me again! If we sleep together, Mother will explode and tear me to pieces," I ignored Feiya, feeling somewhat pleased. Despite that, the question of how to help An Lisi overcome her trauma has become a difficult problem for me to solve.
