"All right... That's the end of today's class... Did everyone understand?... Don't understand... If you don't understand, you can ask me," the homeroom teacher's personality is always unpredictable, but their natural state is speaking cautiously, looking fragile, afraid of offending everyone. I really want to say, "Come on, you're a teacher! Show some teacher-like behavior!" But it's too late for that, even if I said it the homeroom teacher wouldn't change, and besides, how can I, as a student, guide a teacher? So I just turn a blind eye. There is silence in the classroom. "Alright then, class dismissed..." The class leader calls out "Stand up," and everyone stands up together, thanking the teacher for 45 minutes of teaching. After the homeroom teacher leaves, the classroom returns to a lively scene. I put away my textbook and put it back in my bag.

"Zhiye, which school did you transfer from?" "Zhiye, you look so beautiful, do you have any beauty secrets?" "Zhiye, can I be friends with you?" Suddenly, the girls in the class swarm towards me. I don't even have a seat anymore and I am pushed out. I fall to the ground, rubbing my sore butt, and give this group of girls who seem to have never seen the world before a displeased stare. "You, Yu Jie..." I hear someone snapping their fingers, and the sound gets louder and more frequent. I look up and the group of boys seems to be completely infuriated. "Hey... What do you guys mean?!" I take a step back. "Get lost, you faker... Go die." They yell and rush towards me. I quickly retreat, but my back hits the wall and I come to a stop. And I have a sense that things are not looking good because I have no way out. "Ah, hehehe... Can't escape, huh? You're trembling like a rabbit waiting to be caught!" While laughing maliciously, they look at me with an expression as if they want to pinch me to death. These guys are like starving wolves, ready to bite anything they see. In this dangerous situation, I desperately try to calm down and find an opportunity to escape. "Jie..." Just when I'm deep in thought, Zhiye grabs my hand and leads me out of the classroom, running all the way to the rooftop. We finally stop to catch our breath. "They shouldn't have caught up, right?" I breathe heavily and say. "They shouldn't have..." Zhiye's chest moves up and down, with shining sweat beads on her cheeks. "What's wrong?" Sensing that I'm staring at her, Zhiye tilts her head and looks at me with a puzzled expression. "Nothing..." I shift my gaze away, feeling my cheeks heating up. I didn't intend to look; it's just an irresistible impulse. I think this way to alleviate my guilt. "It was really dangerous just now... Are you okay, Jie?" Zhiye asks with concern. "I'm fine..." Besides my butt feeling a bit sore, but I won't mention it. "Really?" Zhiye seems somewhat skeptical. "Do you want me to check on you?" "No need..." "Are you sure?" For some reason, Zhiye looks a bit disappointed. Maybe you're the one who minds, I silently comment in my mind. And I wouldn't do such a thing either. Instead, I say, "It's too cold outside." "Then we can go to the school locker room... It's warmer there." I didn't expect Zhiye to think of the school locker room. I'm also annoyed with myself for not being more straightforward. "No need... I'm fine." "Don't you want me to help you check?" "No need..." "Is that so?" For some reason, Zhiye looks regretful. Could it be that she would be happy if I took off my clothes? I can't bear to watch that scene, nor do I want to imagine it. "For now, let's just stay here," Zhiye says with a somewhat helpless tone. "We can go somewhere else during class... It's too cold here." I suggest. "Hmm..." Zhiye nods with a smile.

All of a sudden, there was only the sound of the cold wind blowing in my ears, and Zhiye and I fell into silence.

Shouldn't I ask something at this moment? Why did she transfer to this school again as a transfer student? Are they acting? But it doesn't seem like acting at all. Where is Su Yuqian?

Why does this world feel strange? A series of puzzles lingered in my mind. But in order to figure out one question, I asked Zhiye, "Why are you acting like this? Weren't we attending school together before?"

The way I asked was a bit cold, but I just wanted to see Zhiye's flaws through this way.

"Jie... why would you say that... do you hate me?" Zhiye was surprised to hear me say this, and her expression became gloomy.

"It's not hate..."

I answered without thinking.

"Then what is it? Why would you say that? I just wanted to see Jie, study in the same school and class with Jie. Although I should have told Jie in advance, I am sincere, not acting..."

"I've already figured it out... you don't have to act anymore..."

"I'm not... Jie... I would never do such a meaningless thing..."

Zhiye looked aggrieved, tears welling up in the corners of her eyes.

I sighed and apologized, "I'm sorry, Zhiye... I misunderstood you..."

"It's not Jie's fault... it's my fault for not considering everything. If I could have met Jie first and told Jie, I wouldn't have been misunderstood like this..."

Hearing Zhiye's words, I felt even more guilty. I may have hurt her with this approach, but I still had doubts. Was Zhiye pretending? But she didn't seem like she was pretending. Could it really be like this? But where did Su Yuqian go? Could she have disappeared out of thin air? I absolutely don't believe it.
