The daily routine of Atlas Brown Bear is very healthy. If he doesn't have work, he goes to bed at 10 p.m. and wakes up at 6 a.m.

On this particular day, after he had already fallen asleep, he received a late-night call from Zasydle. Zasydle expressed his apologies and explained the reason for the call to Atlas Brown Bear.

Half an hour later, Atlas Brown Bear, fully prepared, was already standing guard at the entrance of the Yasaka Shrine archives. He was such a dedicated man.

The information received by Atlas Brown Bear was that Uesugi Chongzong was rumored to be planning a surprise attack, hence the need for increased vigilance. Therefore, he was temporarily reassigned to assist.

To be honest, although Uesugi Chongzong was much stronger than his peers, did it really require this level of vigilance? This was what Atlas Brown Bear thought in his heart.

Moreover, Atlas Brown Bear was familiar with Zasydle, who was in charge of the Yasaka Shrine. This Tibetan man not only appeared reliable and stable, but also demonstrated strength and reliability in practice.

Atlas Brown Bear had witnessed Zasydle's archery skills. With a short bow, he could not only engage enemies from a distance but also use it in close combat by combining the bow and arrows with combat techniques.

Even in unarmed combat, Zasydle had excellent grappling skills. In terms of team management and handling of various matters, Zasydle was meticulous. Under his management, the finance department hadn't encountered any major accidents for over a year, which was the best proof.

- Tonight will also be a peaceful night, thought Atlas Brown Bear as he stood guard at the entrance of the archives.

It wasn't until he heard a strange sound, as if something had fallen, that Atlas Brown Bear's suspicions were aroused. There shouldn't have been anyone around the archives at that time, and patrols were still far away.

With a sense of doubt, Atlas Brown Bear cautiously approached the source of the footsteps he heard moving away. As he followed the sound, he never caught sight of anyone, further deepening his suspicions.

- Who could it be, what kind of person?

- If you continue this way, there will be patrols ahead, and you won't escape.

Thinking this, Atlas Brown Bear turned around the last corner. In that split second, a piece of clothing suddenly flew into his view, blocking his vision.

For a moment, Atlas Brown Bear couldn't see anything. However, being an experienced warrior, he realized he was being ambushed.

He immediately raised his fists to protect his head and shrunk his body, standing firm to fend off attacks from all directions.

- This strategy of blocking my line of sight could mean they will attack me through the clothes directly, or try to ambush me from behind.

As Atlas Brown Bear contemplated, he felt something or someone slip past his feet. Before he could see what it was, he felt a sharp pain in his back, as if he had been hit by a poisoned needle or something else.

The enemy didn't give Atlas Brown Bear time to think. In the next second, he felt countless pricks all over his body. It wasn't actual needles, but a strange sensation accompanied by intense burning and stabbing pain.

And with these intense pains, the needles kept drilling into his body, coming from all directions, squeezing towards the heart. His teeth trembled uncontrollably, his stomach churned, and the contents inside surged up, making him want to vomit. He wanted to turn around, but he couldn't move a single finger.

He couldn't even move a finger.

Atlas Brown Bear's whole body went numb, shaking violently, and then, he lost consciousness.
