Ayaki thought for a moment and then smirked slyly.

"What will happen if I refuse?"

"I've already said, this is your last choice."

"I know, and I also know that I am the clue to Yui's side."

"If I refuse, you will be in trouble, won't you?"

Ayaki Yuriko said with a smile on her face, exuding confidence.

Both sides are gamblers, both have made bets.

Ayaki Yuriko believes that without Chongzong, she won't be able to find evidence of Bai Yaxin's crimes and achieve her goals.

Chongzong, on the other hand, believes that Ayaki Yuriko would cherish her own life and freedom and betray Bai Yaxin.

Both sides believe that they are crucial and irreplaceable to each other, and they want to use this to gain more benefits.

For example, Ayaki Yuriko wants to deceive Chongzong without betraying Bai Yaxin and regain her freedom.

For a moment, it seemed like time had stopped in the dim room, with silence reigning.

Who will yield first?

Chongzong stared intensely at Ayaki Yuriko, not even blinking.

In the end, Ayaki Yuriko was the first to speak.

"Well...I will still agree to your terms."

She looked very unwilling.

"I will provide you with the clues, and you can retrieve them yourself."

"In return, I have an additional request on top of the two previous ones."

Behind the compromise, there was indeed another motive.

"I want to improve my treatment here, from clothing to meals."

Ayaki Yuriko said so.

Chongzong stared at her, hoping to glean some clues from her expression, but Ayaki Yuriko showed no signs of weakness.

——The content of the request is reasonable.

——And it aligns with Yuki's previous judgement that the two previous requests were lies.

——But something feels off.

Chongzong thought this way and met Suya's gaze, and because they had the same idea, both instantly understood each other's meaning.

They both felt that this woman was deceitful.

Since they already suspected a trap, what should they do?

Interrogate her again from the beginning?

This endless cycle of deception and counter-deception.

Chongzong didn't plan to continue like this.

"It's reasonable, we accept it, and we'll improve your treatment starting from now."

Without hesitation, Chongzong agreed.

"Suya, can you help us get some clothes and food now?"

"I'll be right back."

In less than five minutes, Suya returned, quickly acquiring the necessary items through the shopkeeper.

He gave Ayaki Yuriko a decent set of clothes and hot, steaming food.

"Alright, it's your turn to provide evidence and clues."

Ayaki Yuriko didn't care at all about Chongzong and the others present. She took the clothes and changed into them.

After changing, her overall demeanor improved significantly compared to before.

"Ukyo-ku, Kawaramachi, near Higashiyama Ward Office, Yasaka Shrine."

She didn't hurry to eat but instead began to talk about the clue.

Suya immediately wrote down the address by her side.

"What's there?" Chongzong asked.

"The financial records of Bai Yaxin in Kyoto, they are summarized there every quarter and then transported elsewhere after three days," AyakiYuriko answered.

"Why at a shrine?"

"Yeah, unexpected right? It's precisely because no one would expect it, making it safer," she replied.

It was indeed reasonable.

But also suspicious.

A shrine was truly unexpected, but at the same time, once exposed, it would become the most dangerous place.

It was too large a target to defend, with too many drawbacks to consider it as a hiding spot.
