"Revenge?"

Chongzong's answer left Mizuo stunned.

The idea she believed Chongzong would most likely oppose, she heard it from Chongzong himself.

"Yeah, that's right, revenge."

"But it doesn't mean that you have to kill someone or seek revenge tooth for tooth to be considered revenge."

Chongzong smiled and patted Mizuo's head gently.

"Making those who have committed wrongdoings face the appropriate legal consequences is also a form of revenge."

Yes, fighting evil with evil may be effective and satisfying in the moment, but it is only short-lived and can ultimately lead to greater disaster in the future.

Mizuo, despite being young, had learned this through books and teachings from her teachers.

However, such knowledge is easy to come by, yet only truly understood through personal experiences.

Therefore, Mizuo did not completely accept Chongzong's words and expressed her concern.

"But what if the 'law' that Chongzong mentioned fails to deliver the deserved punishment? Mizuo has seen reports on TV about serial killers with a history of mental illness who were only sentenced to a year in prison and then went on to kill again..."

This question left Chongzong speechless.

The injustice in the judiciary system due to oppression of power and temptations of wealth, existing and unknown loopholes, and whether it can be properly enforced all raised doubts.

However, even so, Chongzong could not let Mizuo's world be distorted by this.

"Leave it to me, Mizuo. I won't let such a situation happen, trust me."

With no other choice, Chongzong said these words.

In fact, it was not a convincing argument and lacked logical reasoning.

But Mizuo believed, firmly believed.

Chongzong, who had saved her several times, was the only person she would trust unconditionally.

"Yeah, I believe you, Chongzong~"

Chongzong was surprised by how easily Mizuo was persuaded. He didn't realize how much he had helped her, he simply felt like he had done what he needed to.

Now that the first step of persuasion was successful, Chongzong moved on to the next step quickly.

"But, before 'revenge,' Mizuo, you need to go back to school and focus on your studies, excel in the entrance exam to middle school."

As soon as Chongzong finished saying this, Mizuo's face immediately drooped, an apathetic expression on her face.

"...Chongzong, you can't play a prank on me like this. What about the revenge we agreed on?"

Mizuo lowered her head and glanced up with a forlorn look in her eyes, staring at Chongzong.

Chongzong had already anticipated Mizuo's resistance and guessed that she would ask this question.

"Mizuo, think carefully. The ultimate purpose of your 'revenge' is to 'seek forgiveness' from your mother and Watanabe Gengo, isn't it?"

Mizuo paused, not seeing the connection between going to school and her revenge.

"Well, yeah...but how does that have to do with..."

"Mizuo, 'Redemption', is it about punishing our enemies so that Mom and Watanabe Gengo can find peace in heaven?"

"Well... yeah..."

"So, if Mizuo hasn't even graduated from elementary school, doesn't study or have a proper job, and just wanders around as a troublemaker in society, can Mom and Mr. Watanabe find peace in heaven?"

"Uh..."

"So, Mizuo, are you going to go back to school?"

At this point, Chongzong believed he had achieved a perfect victory. However...

Mizuo had a moment of inspiration and cleverly turned the tables.

"Wait, Brother Chongzong, why don't you just marry me? Then I won't have to wander around in society!"
