Chapter Five: Heart
"Bai Xuyu, could you please leave?"
At the doorstep of Yu's house, Yu opened the door and stood by, looking at someone inside with a helpless expression. And that someone was Bai Xuyu, as mentioned by Yu.
At this moment, Bai Xuyu was sitting on the wooden floor, eating a vegetable salad while watching a variety show on TV, occasionally laughing out loud. As for Yu's request for Bai Xuyu to leave, Bai Xuyu completely ignored it, treating it as if it were nothing.
This kind of conversation was not the first time. Since Bai Xuyu was dumped at Yu's house by Ziong MingDe, it had been a week. On the first night, when the moon was dark and the wind was high, Yu conducted various meticulous investigations and experiments on Bai Xuyu's youthful and flawless body, in order to verify her own theories and speculations. She also gave Bai Xuyu some guidance on martial arts movements and taught her some techniques.
And so, Yu's nightmare began. It should be noted that when Bai Xuyu was initially subjected to Yu's various actions, she was filled with fear of the unknown and concern for her own safety. Later on, as she gradually realized that Yu had no intention of harming her and was simply conducting research on the human body, she let down her guard a little. And when she accepted Yu's guidance in martial arts, Bai Xuyu understood one thing: Yu, despite being physically weak, had an unparalleled understanding of martial arts and a profound knowledge of human body structure and movement. Just the half-hour guidance (which was only a verification of her theory for Yu) allowed Bai Xuyu to gain more than she had learned in a whole year of self-study.
As a result, Bai Xuyu's attitude towards Yu changed. Yu was the exceptional mentor that Bai Xuyu had been seeking for many years. Bai Xuyu firmly believed that as long as she could receive guidance from Yu, given time, she would be able to defeat the arrogant Ziong MingDe.
This is why Bai Xuyu refused to leave Yu's house.
However, the current conflict was that Yu was unwilling to guide Bai Xuyu. Yu was a doctor who had studied martial arts, but only for a better understanding of the human body. Unless there was a suitable reason, she would not accept such a request. Even back then, when Tang Mingtuo and Ziong MingDe were practicing martial arts, Yu only gave them a few simple pointers. Their growth afterwards was based on their own comprehension, resulting in different martial arts styles.
Those were all things of the past.
Now, Yu was troubled by how to get rid of Bai Xuyu, while Bai Xuyu, while refusing to leave, tried every possible way to find a method to persuade Yu to guide her in martial arts.
On the eighth night of their stalemate, a guest arrived at Yu's house. He was tall and upright, exuding a righteous aura. When he saw Yu standing at the door, he immediately smiled and greeted her.
"Good evening, Anyu. What are you doing at the door?"
"Mingtuo? Why are you here?"
"The old man might come here soon, so I came to help him with some arrangements... But what about you? Why are you standing at the door with it open?"
