Chapter 11

About half an hour before the competition started, the three of us followed Eileen Senior with cautious and sneaky steps as we walked out of the dormitory gate.

"......?" I looked speechlessly at Ai Yaya, who was half a body length behind me, and Waka, who was even further behind than Ai Yaya, "Why don't you walk in front?"

Ai Yaya said cautiously, "But Eileen Senior is in front..."

Waka didn't even dare to look ahead: "That person is colder than the malice that emerges from hell."

If the malice that emerged from hell refers to your mother flipping your blanket in the middle of winter, then I think Eileen Senior is quite amiable...

Eileen Senior didn't seem to care, walking about ten body lengths ahead of us at her own pace. She neither hurried to leave us behind nor stopped to wait for us to catch up.

I felt extremely uncomfortable sandwiched between these three. If I walked faster, Ai Yaya and Waka would pull me back, and if I slowed down, I was afraid Eileen Senior would think I was distancing myself from her or afraid of her.

Speaking of which, Eileen Senior always disappeared from our dormitory at some unknown time before. This could be considered the first collective activity for everyone in our dormitory, right?

Humph... why do I have to suffer like this...

Rubbing my forehead, I had an idea.

So I turned around and gave Ai Yaya and Waka a gentle smile.

"......?"

Taking advantage of their momentary confusion caused by my ambiguous smile, I quickly ran a few steps forward --

"Eileen Senior!"

The tall figure in front paused for a moment. Although she didn't turn around to look at us, her head tilted slightly to the right, as if waiting for the continuation of the conversation.

"Waka said she is very interested in the book you were reading last night, and wants to discuss it with you."

"Ai Yaya said she is very interested in the early-morning cafeteria, but she couldn't get up at that time and wants to consult you."

Eileen finally turned her face around, confused, and faced Ai Yaya and Waka, who I brought up to the front together.

"Ah... uh, well, it's not... we are innocent."

"..." Eileen Senior's eyes finally locked onto Waka, with a cold and intimidating voice, "You like reading?"

"Huh? I'm not..."

"Don't like it?"

"Cough, cough, cough... No, I, I really like it!"

Eileen Senior scanned her with her eyes and took out a book from the magic space, handing it to Waka, then she left us behind and continued walking ahead.

"Huh? What is this for? Huh? Ah, in the future, I will definitely repay you, ah, no... I mean, return the favor."

"It's a loan."

"Then... then in the future... a slight favor?"

"......"

Eileen Senior turned her head back, still with that anxious look in her eyes.

She seemed to casually glance at me, let out a sigh, and continued to walk ahead without haste.

Waka and Ai Yaya, both still in shock, took a step back and gave me a blank stare.

Then they retreated even further, positioning themselves behind me, discussing quietly --

Ai Yaya: "What about me? What about me? What about my cafeteria?"

Waka: "Because you only think about eating, but Eileen Senior and I have surpassed the material and engaged in spiritual communication. Books, do you understand?"

Ai Yaya: "? Are you really interested in that book?"

Waka: "? Are you really interested in the early-morning cafeteria?"

Ai Yaya: "I am interested!"

Waka: "..."
