The School of Balancing, the world's top magical institution, covers nearly half the city. It has twelve teaching buildings alone, as well as a magical props plantation that houses nearly all the rare species of magical items in the world. Not to mention the majestic and grand administration building that rivals a palace.

"Headmaster's office, headmaster's office..."

Emile nibbles on her fingers, hopping along to show me the way.

Perhaps due to the school system, there aren't many people wandering around on the way. Occasionally, I would see one or two people hurrying by, looking down at something.

It feels a bit deserted.

Well, it's actually quite good for me, so that no one realizes the relationship between Emile and me.

I followed Emile, who was unexpectedly in a high-spirited mood, quietly walking towards the headmaster's office.

Hmm... At least for a while, it was calm and peaceful...

At that time, I seemed to have forgotten something...

That there was a poor soul cursed with a very vicious curse...

"Waaahhh!!!"

Carrying the petite Emile on my back, following her instructions, we ran wildly to the administration building that was two hundred meters away from the dormitory. Without stopping to catch my breath, I hurriedly climbed the stairs and dashed to the top floor.

I didn't have time to appreciate the splendid and magnificent door of the headmaster's office. I ended up tumbling in, with Emile's body rolling with mine for two rounds. Finally, without even looking at Damia behind the table, I hastily stood up and closed the door to the headmaster's office.

I exchanged a startled gaze with Emile.

"Alala, what's the matter with you two? You look like you've just been chased by something."

"That's right! We were being chased! Chased by something with an indiscernible form and strange appearance! What was that!? Isn't this supposed to be the most prestigious school in the whole continent!? How can it be so dangerous!?"

Damia, with a calm expression on her face, stood up lightly, walked to the window and glanced downstairs, shrugging at us –

"Isn't everything normal?"

Emile adjusted the hat that was about to fall off, held half of her staff, and angrily complained to Damia,

"There were clearly an aggressive translucent entity with fangs that just ran out of the biological garden; a snake ambushed near the fountain that we didn't know when it was placed there; a large chunk of ice fell from the sky when we entered; and..."

"Emmm..."

Damia placed her left hand against her chin, her right hand forming a pointed shape as she tapped her forehead.

"Let me think... Hmm, that translucent entity should be the Frost Specter that we just caught from the north. We are still researching its cultivation methods, but it can be easily scared away with fire magic. As for the snake in the fountain... it's probably an experiment being conducted by the biological magic department. And the falling ice block... that little guy probably accidentally lost control of their magic, huh?"

"So, this isn't a school! Why do we allow these unstable and dangerous elements to exist? Let them find a safe place to conduct their experiments! Don't imprison beasts that haven't figured out the safe containment methods! People could really die!"

Facing my doubt, Damia wrinkled her brows helplessly and let out a soft sigh.

"Oh, Molly Ann sweetheart, I understand your thinking. According to your current mindset, the school should definitely be an absolutely safe place. But it's not the case here."

She waved at me and made a gesture of invitation at the window –

Over there, a group of people had gathered, coolly indifferent...

"When our students discover the Frost Specter, they will try to control it with their own power. The students from the biology department who are conducting experiments are trying to establish a contract with it. Meanwhile, another group of students from the magical mechanics department will attempt to dispel its spiritual form. Currently, an Intermediate student from the possession department is trying to strengthen themselves by allowing the specter to bite them. They will lose consciousness in two point three seconds. Students from our medical society will try to decipher it from various angles. If they can't do it within a minute, they will freeze it and hand it over to the instructors. And now... the security personnel have arrived. They are consulting the students on how to handle the situation. If necessary, they can block off that area for research. The injured students will be taken away."

After she closed the curtains, she put her hand on my head and said,

"This is how the operation of the legendary Continent's number one School of Magic works. We strive to protect their safety and provide them with the resources they need, without disrupting their research. Banning all dangerous behavior is foolish, pointless, and even despicable in the realm of magic. Absolute safety means absolute inactivity and absolute backwardness."

Damia brushed her long hair back and smiled gently at me,

"So, Molly Ann, what brings you to see your principal?"
