Act I - Chapter 1

The bright sunlight throws down from the sky with heart-warming heat, caressing the faces of the people on the ground -

"Nah, Emile," I tugged on the back of her collar, "are we just going to walk away without even saying? ......"

"Why do we need to say anything? Lord Emile can go wherever she wants without anyone's permission."

She dangled her hat and pulled it down to shield her head from the blistering sun.

"How irresponsible."

I commented briefly.

"I'm responsible for you! ❤~"

She replied to me quickly.

"...... huh."

I gave a warm smile at that.

--------

Now we are under the legendary city of Eleusis.

Its magnificent white walls looked extraordinarily sacred in the sunlight, and just looking at it gave people a feeling of wanting to pay homage to it.

"The name of this city wall is 'Windeselman', which means the chest of the god of war." Emile tapped this city wall, "Hundreds of years ago, this city was once the last human city-state."

"The last human city-state?"

"Well, the so-called “final city”, but it's not a peaceful place ......" Emile fished out a magnificently wrapped book from the magic space and handed it to me, "More than forty years ago, there was a racial holy war in Elisis, and it was the only racial holy war between the human race and the elves since a hundred years."

The so-called “racial holy war” is a tournament to reduce the excessive casualties between castes to send a small number of elites to war, the Federation to decide the outcome, they declare that they will not favor anyone, and will ensure the results of the winning side.

Well, that's not my concern.

I took the book Emile handed me and looked at the cover first -

A Chronological History of the Continent of Atalansfriere

Table of Contents - History of War - The Holy War of Elisis.

I searched down the dense handwriting and finally found the vague record in a tiny corner.

Elisis (Griffin)Holy War.

Cause of Battle - Unknown

Participants - Unknown

Winners - Unknown

Losers - Unknown

Referee --unknown

"Isn't this all unknown!"

"Yeah, I really doubt that this war exists or not."

Emile yawned, took the book I was holding and threw it into the magic space, and continued walking along the city walls.

I wanted to touch the wall, but suddenly realized that it was the so-called "chest of the god of war" and retracted my hand.

"What are you afraid of? It's not a relic, it's a wall from hundreds of years ago, they may have renovated it many times."

Emile reached out and tapped on a sunken part of the wall.

That small piece of the city wall slowly trembled.

"...... eh?"

She looked at the city wall in amazement.

It made an unbearable loud noise.

"How ......"

With the place where Emile tapped as the center, the entire piece of the city wall collapsed.

Boom-

"Uh ......"

She looked at her palm in dismay.

"Lord Emile, do you want to consider about to be a warrior? The kind that will go berserk."

I couldn't help but spit out a sentence, then knocked her head.

Just then, there was a sudden scattering of footsteps around us.

Guards in white armor surrounded us, tall shadows looming over our bodies.

The lead guard took off his helmet, revealing his anger-laden eyes as he looked at us with fists in the air.

"Heh, heh, heh, heh, we finally caught you, come with us."

---------- ---------- ----

We were taken to a dark hut under the guard's sentry tower.

"How dare you! How dare you show yourselves in broad daylight!"

The lead guard slapped the table in anger as the others guarded the doorway and watched us intently.

The dark little room had only a small window open, the oppressive atmosphere made the air stagnant, and the dim sunlight in the window hit the guard's face, making his face even more sinister and gray.

In such a scenario, the two lonely maidens could only cling to each other and endure their torment and torture.

This is the general situation ......

"Nah, are we considered to be invited into the police station for tea?"

I rested my hands on my cheeks, propped up on the iron table.

"Well, it seems so."

She replied with a big grin as she pressed herself against my shoulder in spite of my resistance.

"Listen to me, you two!"

The guard slapped the table with a “clang“.

"It's a little exciting to be in a police station for the first time."

"Well, so am I!"

"So listen to me!!! That hurts. ......"

The guard slaps the table violently, then blows cool air into his sore hand.

I tapped on the table -

"This thing has nothing to do with me, why do I have to be caught here too?"

"No! That's the way it should be done! Molly Ann and I are in one heart and one soul!"

"She did this all by herself!"

"We both share the responsibility!"

"You guys shut up!" The guard stood up, "Just tell me, you're the ones who've been destroying the walls for the past few days, right?"

"Ahem, that’s impossible," I cleared my throat and pretended to say, "Do you know who we are?"

"You guys are?"

Hearing the guard's words, Emile immediately stood up.

"Since you asked the question in good faith!"

The guard and I looked at Emile, who had a sudden brain attack, with a stunned expression.

And the expression on her face.

Forget it, just think of it as being infected ......

"That, we'll be merciful and tell you."

She was happy that I play this with her, then extended her right arm -

"To break the dullness of the world!"

"To ...... guard the prosperity of the world!"

"To carry out the determination of being wrong to the end!"

"A valiant and wise man of justice!"

"Emile!"

"Koji ...... ah, Molly Ann!"

"We are the ignition team that travels the world! "

"A bright and hopeful tomorrow awaits us!"

"OW!"

The little white one lying on my shoulder ground a long whistle.

"......Emile, what team did you just say?

"Ignition team."

"......Emile, I'll never let you name it again ......"

The guards looked at each other twice and finally looked at us in confusion.

"-never heard of it at all."

"...... Ahem," I coughed awkwardly and keep made it up, "That's because you guys are ignorant, we're famous elsewhere, after all, Emile is... ..."

"A young and lovely noble mage!"

"...... Yes, a young and lovely noble mage ......"

I glanced at her indifferently and pursed my lips.

"A noble?"

The guard sat back in his chair and softened his attitude a little.

"It’s your first time in our Elisis?"

"That's for sure."

"...... Well, then it should be our mistake, so you guys can go out and take a note."

I didn't expect the guards to be so accommodating.

"Well," I said tentatively, touching my chin, "you should harass us with unreasonable demands from time to time, and give us an accusation, and finally try to make us want to die.""...... Get the hell out of here!"

The guard yelled.

"Geez, you guys really have no sense of humor."

Emile spread her hands and moved slowly towards the door.

There was a sudden, panicked stomping sound from the steps outside the door.

The door to the hut was push open violently, knocking a crisp sound on Emile's head and bringing her hat away.

The visitor coughed violently--

"Cough ...... cough ...... I heard that the vandals of the walls were caught! Uh--"

Emile covered her forehead, turned to pick up her hat, and smiled sinisterly at the visitor.

"Say asshole, how do you want to die?"
