Chapter 2 Restless Campus

On the way to visit the academy, I couldn't help but constantly look at the teacher's mage suit I was wearing.

Of course, it wasn't because it looked bad; in fact, this outfit could be considered exquisite in terms of appearance. It deviated from the cumbersome design of a mage robe and was made into a suit similar to noble attire or military uniform. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was the cape, which looked strange and gave me a feeling of being a boss in enemy territory.

However, thanks to this outfit, I felt that there would have been even more malicious glances directed at me along the way. The reason, of course, was the princess by my side. Although her character was less than commendable, as the symbol of the empire, she was greatly loved by the people of the Witte Empire.

Especially among those of similar age, there were so many that I would encounter one, or a few, every few steps in the academy.

I felt that if I got any closer to Princess Annie, they would dismember me as if I were the enemy boss. It was quite terrifying.

Well, I could understand their feelings. After all, like them, I was a passionate and mentally healthy teenager.

But I just didn't have that perverse interest in the princess.

Having circled the entire academy, I have to say that the imperial academy had an air of grandeur that far surpassed our Grey Academy. Just the meticulously decorated building walls infused with magic crystal powder could possibly be worth more than all the buildings in Grey Academy combined.

Well, the biggest difference between the imperial academy and Grey Academy was that this school represented a part of the whole country, so it was understandable that it would have a grander appearance.

"Alright, after seeing the whole academy, what are your thoughts?"

After our tour, we returned to the entrance of the academy's dining hall.

"I feel like they spent a lot of money."

"Ah, that's truly a typical answer from you, devoid of any sentimentality."

"Sorry, but I am a rational thinker. There's nothing wrong with that. At least I don't have to indulge in random thoughts every day, I just need to think about what needs to be thought about."

"No wonder, otherwise your three companions wouldn't be following you all day."

"...Huh?"

"Look behind you."

I turned around and saw Aliyah with a disdainful expression, accompanied by the expressionless Oyado and Pure White, peeking their heads out from a nearby alleyway.

Hey, hey, hey, weren't you supposed to be hiding? What are you pretending to do?

But I still sensibly turned my head to look at Princess Annie.

"In conclusion, thank you for showing us around. Shall we meet again during class?"

"That sounds good. I also have some matters to attend to. After all, I applied to skip class because I have something to deal with."

"To skip class..."

I turned back to the three behind me and shook my head helplessly.

Skipping class on the first day, you guys are really something... Speaking of which, Aliyah, aren't you supposed to be the instructor for the swordsmanship department? Skipping work on the first day... well...

Well, it doesn't matter.

I turned my head, winked at them, and then used Shadow Stealth to escape directly.

After turning a corner, I drank a bottle of mana restoration potion and then teleported directly to the preparation room for the afternoon practical combat arena.

Surely, I am skilled in using the Blink skill.

I smiled satisfied and sat down in the preparation room, quietly reading the book that I borrowed from the elf.

Hmm...

"What kind of rubbish book is this!"

I slapped the book on the ground.

The words on the book made me speechless.

Guide to Creating Beautiful Feather Arrows

Damn, wasn't I in the magic book area? Why is there such a strange book?

I took out another book, but as soon as I saw the title, I slammed it to the ground.

Guide to Fast Hair Styling

"That little brat..."

I remembered that these books were recommended by that little ghost in the library, right? It's too much to bully me for not knowing Elven language.

I picked up several more books in succession, only to find out that most of them were useless. Of course, I did get lucky and found some elf magic books. After categorizing them, I packed all the useless books into a box, planning to send them back to the elves when I had the chance.

What a disappointment.

Do elves really have nothing interesting to do after living for so long?

After I finished packing all the books, I looked at the time and realized that it was almost time for class. I sighed, tidied up my clothes, pushed open the door of the preparation room, and from afar, I could see several students standing on the field.

Ah, there are so many people, I'm a little nervous.

I remember there were 17 people in the class, other than Princess Cher, Princess Annie, Lima, Miss Madol, Oyado, Dest, Miss Samehi, there were two other people on the field. However, the name of one of them made me admire their concentration, as they were His Grace, the second young master of the Shelton family, Hade.

As for the other person, well, it seemed like the type of person who gets bullied in class, standing alone on the edge of the crowd.

But what surprised me was her level, which was as high as level 40, but I couldn't tell from her title... Hmm, except for the title of [Avenger].

Ah, it's really frustrating. Are only those filled with revenge able to become so powerful? It seems like there are many problems with this class.

"Big Brother!"

The first one to notice me was naturally Oyado. She swiftly ran up to me.

"Big Brother, where did you go? Aliyah and I were looking for you."

"Of course, I was preparing for class in the preparation room. After all, I am a teacher now."

I patted her head and said.

"Well, speaking of that, where are the others? If I remember correctly, there should be eight more people."

"You don't have to worry about them."

The one who spoke was the girl with the title of Avenger. Yes, this person had a very strange name.

Mirodo Simengberu

Semi-Magic Swordsman LV40

Neutral, Straightforward, Avenger, Loner, One-Hit Kill, Ultimate Mastery, Job Changer, [Black Hawk]

A Job Changer? This is the first time I've seen this title. So, that means she wasn't a Semi-Magic Swordsman before?

And she's already the Ultimate Mastery, so why would she change to an occupation with skills that aren't very useful?

Although it's convenient in terms of versatility, being able to use both magic and martial arts at the same time. Well, she must have her own reasons.

The other person pushed their orange hair behind their head and stared at me intently.

"So, you are the 'Magic-hiding Swordsman' known as the semi-magical swordsman who defeated the magical beasts attacking Bluelake City, Lin Fir, right?"

"Yes, that's right. What's the matter?"

"Come on then! Let me see your strength! Let's see if you're qualified to be my teacher!"

After saying that, the other person rushed towards me with a quick step. Without thinking, I instinctively cast my Frozen Thousand Miles, freezing them in a block of ice.

"Ah..."

Everyone watched in surprise as Melordo, frozen in a large piece of ice, and I could only scratch my head and helplessly say, "This... isn't my fault, right?"
