Chapter 46: The Rise of the Monsters 36 Elves Are All Strange
update icon Updated at 2026/1/28 17:00:02

Ignoring the old elf in front of me, I carefully examine the information box in front of my eyes. After taking a closer look, I realize that the reminder window that was minimized a long time ago is still open, and new content has appeared.

Shared Skill - Elven Language, Learned

Since the user of this language is not familiar, the cost of using it is 3 points of magic per second when the skill is activated.

This little bit of magic consumption is not a big problem. The problem is that Elven Language is also considered a skill... I wryly smile and then open the general skills menu.

I'm shocked when I take a look. What is all this? Lockpicking, opening boxes, orcish language, cooking... all sorts of random things.

Out of curiosity, I place my hand on Orcish Language, and the information that pops up also leaves me speechless.

Shared Skill - Orcish Language

Since the user understands this language, it does not consume magic.

That's right, Orcish Language is just English, which I already know. Although I'm not very fluent, daily communication is not a problem at all.

After reading these information, my attention shifts back to the scene in front of me.

I see Aliyah walking towards me with a smile, and behind her, I see Kilia being handcuffed and taken away by several elven guards.

"Lock him up for now. Later, I'll interrogate him about where he learned necromancy."

The old elf says sternly, then looks towards the elven queen.

I scoff and then look at Aliyah.

"It seems like a powerful guy has arrived, but he appeared just in time."

"That's true. Kilian came right after you defeated him. I felt like he was watching the whole time."

"Yeah, and this guy is no ordinary strongman. He must be an elder or something."

Dondellid Blade Laden

Thunder-based elven mage LV78, Plant-based elven mage LV89

Neutral, serious, ultimate master of elves, one-hit-kills, elven elder, pioneer of experiments, [Mad Good Evil], human killer, forest warrior, reputation holder.

"Are we just looking for death challenging someone of this level?"

Hearing Aliyah's words, I know that the title information she sees is not complete, so she can't see the elder's title.

But even for me, facing someone who specializes in hiding their identity, I have no choice. With that in mind, I look towards the elven queen.

Why does she conceal her information? Is it deliberate or is it just a coincidental effect of her equipment?

That's a matter for later. What's more important now is the person in front of us.

"Be careful, this guy has killed humans."

"Oh... it seems you can see the opponent's titles."

"Yeah, just like how you love lockpicking, I like to see the weaknesses of others."

"Your interests are quite sinister... but it's useful."

"Thanks for the compliment."

While we were still conversing, the elven elder finished his conversation with the queen and walked towards us.

He stands in front of us, gazes at me for a while, then looks at Aliyah, and then back at me.

"Human, you two seem much stronger than your peers."

After staring for a long time, he actually says something like this. It embarrasses me greatly.

Strictly speaking, I am not a human as you would call it. I should be classified as an outlander. Don't compare us outlanders to the humans of this world.

And, I can't even be considered human. I'm an Undead Holy Angel, although I was transformed.

"Thank you for the compliment, but compared to you, we are just very weak beings."

"Haha... it's the first time I've heard someone who can use legendary magic call themselves weak. Many humans have boasted about their legendary magic in front of me before, but they never had a chance to do it again."

Is this guy bragging about killing humans? How sadistic.

"...Interesting."

The other person touched his sparse beard and laughed.

"I know you understand what I'm saying, but you don't seem spontaneously angry like those hypocrites. Are you cold-blooded or composed?"

No, I'm just forcing a bitter smile inside. You're such a high-level guy standing in front of me, what else can I say?

The biggest difference between those guys you killed and me is that I can see your power and naturally won't provoke you. And those who provoked you have died, even if I do something now, they won't come back.

So why should I have a grudge against myself?

"Well, you can imagine that."

I replied with a smile.

"But, I don't think you came here to discuss magic with me, right?"

"You're right, I think you are the human who came to the Forest Sea through the ruins teleportation array, right?"

"Yes."

"Interesting, good, follow me then."

"Hey hey hey, old man, you're too casual, aren't you?"

The elven queen next to him directly grabbed Dandolit and looked at him with a worried expression.

"And you want him to go... do I not need to be present?"

"You being present is useless."

The old man actually shrugged off the other's hand and walked gracefully towards the conference room.

"You are asking for trouble, old man!"

The elven queen took out her staff directly.

I quickly pulled Aliyah back a few steps.

"Shall we go eat something first?"

I asked Aliyah.

"Okay..."

Ignoring the elders and the queen who started fighting for some reason, we headed towards the nearby restaurant.

I haven't had a chance to eat yet!
