After three minutes, the humanoids ran out from the corridor one after another, and I looked at the mini-map, helplessly raised my hands and said,
"Except for the tunnel with the smell of rotting corpses and the sixth one from the right, which are not connected, all the other paths are connected. Is this some kind of joke? Is the labyrinth designer mentally disturbed?"
"Maybe he just wanted to waste our time~" Fran said with a smile.
"Because the labyrinth changes every hour~ If we haven't finished traversing it within an hour, it will probably change into a different layout~"
"You're right, it's interesting to have such a setting." I nodded.
"Luckily we have the humanoids to lead the way, or else it would really take us a long time."
"Hmph, that's why we should have taken the fifth path on the left from the beginning." Aliyah seemed dissatisfied that we didn't immediately follow her suggestion.
"Well, it was just to confirm our safety. But on another note, the other path seems to be a dead end. Could it be related to this tunnel? Of course, I mean the one earlier." I said.
"Anyway~ I think we should act quickly~" Fran said.
"Fran is right, our one-hour time limit is almost up. If we keep wasting time here, the labyrinth will change." Aliyah said and directly walked towards the fifth path on the left.
"Wait, at least let the humanoids lead the way?" But Aliyah didn't listen and walked into the tunnel. I helplessly shook my head, recalled all the humanoids back into the ring, and quickly followed her.
Fran also followed after me.
The tunnel was long, and even with the light from the two orbs, we couldn't see the end.
However, as we walked deeper, the blood-like smell in the air became stronger.
When I arrived at a certain place, I glanced at my mini-map.
"Here..."
I touched the wall on the right and knocked on it.
A hollow sound came from behind the stone, indicating that there was an empty space behind the wall.
From the mini-map, I could also see that it was behind the dead end we encountered earlier.
"This is an entirely unnecessary design. Why would they make such a route?"
"Maybe the person who designed it is just that boring. Let's go, or we won't know when we can leave this place." Aliyah said.
Just as she finished speaking, the entire labyrinth shook. I quickly jumped towards Aliyah and the others' direction, and the neighboring wall turned, sealing off the path beside it.
"So that's how it is." I looked at the revealed path beside me and nodded.
"Out of the 22 paths, one will lead to the exit while the others will connect to another path. This is quite a troublesome design."
"Is it all luck then? Well, we all made it here anyway."
"That's true... but we have to be careful from now on. The atmosphere here feels even more eerie than we imagined. It's much more dangerous here." I said.
"Yeah, I'll go ahead. I can somewhat sense traps, but they're not necessarily activated, so..." Aliyah crouched down and walked cautiously ahead. I also put on the Reality Goggles and used the skill to increase the probability of detecting traps.
Fran, on the other hand, seemed quite relaxed in the back, as if she didn't care about being attacked.
"Fran, have you been to this place before?"
"No, why?"
"Nothing, it just seems like you don't care about the danger here at all."
"There's nothing to be cautious about. Since there are corpses all around here, I have nothing to worry about."
"Really..."
"By the way, have you guys ever seen what I look like normally?"
After saying that, she reached out her hand, and in an instant, her clothes turned black, while a white crystal skull appeared in her hand.
This outfit...
"It does give off a necromancer vibe, but it's not obvious."
"Is it because I don't look like an undead?"
"No, it's just because you're always smiling and don't seem serious."
"Haha, fair enough."
"Hush!"
Suddenly, Aliyah reminded us to be quiet.
"There's a strange sound."
"A sound?"
"Yeah..."
After waiting for a moment, Aliyah continued,
"There's a sound of something moving..."
Just as she finished speaking, there was a thud, and something indistinguishable fell from the ceiling!
All of our colleagues drew their weapons, and upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a skull.
"Ha, I thought it would be something else."
But just as they finished speaking, more and more skulls continuously fell from above, blocking our path.
"This..."
What on earth?
