Recently, I've spent too much time in my master's room and haven't had a chance to chat with Linsi and Daisy. It has been eight days since I rejected Heath that day and the war started. Normally, I stay in my master's room, except when I go back to my room to get clothes or take a shower. Linsi and Daisy also don't dare to come into the room. Since the war is about to start, they leave the management and inspections to Heath Relia. I guess I have been neglecting my friends.
After being punished by my master, I quickly left his room. Once I crossed the boundary, my master was no longer as cold as before. It was both exhausting and fulfilling. So, I should go and ask Linsi and Daisy about Heath's condition.
I don't know why, but even though it's broad daylight, the Lord's Mansion is very quiet. The winter wind brings up a whirlwind of withered leaves, and there are no guards around where my master and I live.
As I walked out of the area where my master and I live, I ran into Heath Relia and waved at her.
"Heath Relia, good afternoon."
"Good afternoon," she nodded slightly and gave me a faint smile. "How are you feeling?"
"What...what do you mean, 'how am I feeling'?"
My cheeks instantly turned red. How did Heath Relia know about what my master did to me just now?
"I mean, how are you recovering after the war?"
"Huh?"
I was at a loss for words, and Heath Relia was suppressing her laughter.
"Looks like you're fine. But even if you have good stamina, you still need to be moderate."
"Yes...yes."
"Well, I'm going to see your master. Goodbye."
Heath Relia walked past me, lightly tapping my head.
I turned around and saw Heath Relia with a slight smile on her face. She walked lightly, her gently curled long hair swaying behind her.
I sighed and turned around to continue looking for Linsi and Daisy. After inquiring about where they live, I happily entered the maid's dormitory and went straight to their room, knocking on the door.
The one who opened the door was... since her eyes are black, it must be Daisy. She looked surprised to see me.
"Yiluodiya?"
"Hey, Daisy."
"Sister is inside."
Daisy stepped aside and I walked in, with her closing the door behind me.
"Lord Yiluodiya."
Linsi stood up from her chair and gave me a slight bow, and I waved my hand.
"Please, sit."
Linsi and Daisy sat side by side in front of me, and I smiled with my chin resting on my hand.
"What brings Lord Yiluodiya here to see us?"
"It's about Heath. What happened afterwards?"
As soon as I finished speaking, the faces of Linsi and Daisy turned pale, and they both bit their lips, their eyes turning red with teardrops rolling around inside.
"What's wrong?"
I had a bad feeling.
"She...she died in the war."
"No way."
She was a sniper in the highlands by the Tim River, right next to the Lord's Mansion. Unless the demon race had ulterior motives against her or the humans launched a surprise attack, how could she have died?
"Y-yes...it's true...we didn't expect it either."
"W-we asked the soldiers who were guarding her, and she insisted on going to the frontlines."
Looking at Linsi and Daisy's tearful faces, I felt a bit dazzled.
I waited until they calmed down, wiping away their tears with sniffling noses, before they spoke again.
"Sorry, Lord Yiluodiya."
"We couldn't control our emotions."
"It's okay."
Why were they suddenly so close to Heath? They cried so sadly.
"After we comforted Heath that day, she promised us that she would give up on you."
"And then, we were worried about her being lonely, so we went to accompany her every day. During that time, she seemed very happy and gradually found her purpose again. She said that she wanted to find the cutest maid among us demons to be her lover and show off in front of us when that happens."I nodded slowly.
I felt a bit uncomfortable in my heart, knowing that indirectly it was me who caused her death.
But...
"Will I also get to show off in front of you guys?" I said.
"Ah!"
"Lord Yiluodiya, we...we..."
It seemed like they knew.
I didn't expect that they were actually a yuri couple, just as I wished.
"Hey~ Would you guys blame me?" I asked.
I think in the eight days since LinsiDaisy revealed their relationship to Shifu, Shifu stopped being jealous of them, so the three of them had a lot of common topics.
Maybe she was too sad, or maybe she envied the loving appearance of the LinsiDaisy sister duo, and she said to LinsiDaisy that she also wanted a cute demon girlfriend, and she would show off in front of them when she found one.
She was such a good person, and she died just like that.
I remembered what she once said, "But I stayed among you demons for you. If I give up on my fundamental purpose, what's the point of surviving here?"
I originally thought she was just making empty threats, but she really was so devoted to me.
"Why would you blame yourself?" they asked.
LinsiDaisy wasn't present at the time, so they didn't know what Shifu had said. They didn't know how persistent Shifu was towards me.
"If I hadn't rejected her that day, maybe she wouldn't have gone to deliver that letter?" I said.
"How could Lord Yiluodiya think like that?" they replied.
"We know that you don't really like Shifu and don't want to see her suffer. Besides, it was our suggestion," they continued.
"Sigh~" I sighed deeply.
Time passed minute by minute, LinsiDaisy sat across from me without moving, and I stared blankly with my chin resting on my hand.
I didn't feel sad about Shifu's death, just a bit uncomfortable. It was because she recognized me, the first person to truly understand me.
"I'll tell you something," I said.
"What is it?" the maids responded in unison, as if they had been waiting for me to speak.
"Well...well..." I put down my hand and crossed my fingers, feeling conflicted.
"Well, something always happens when people sleep together, right? And the longer you sleep together, the more likely it is to lead to something more intimate," I said.
"Is that true?" the two maids widened their eyes, their voices overlapping.
"Yes," Daisy added.
"Then, are you the one on the bottom or the top?" she asked.
"Of course...of course I'm...I'm on the bottom..." I replied.
As expected, they burst into laughter, and I felt embarrassed, but I was glad to see them laughing through their tears.
"Lord Yiluodiya is truly entertaining," they said.
"What do you mean entertaining? Are you saying it's only natural for me to be on the bottom?" I asked as I shook my head, but there was clearly an uncontrollable smile on my face. I sighed again.
"That's indeed the case, and so far I've never switched positions," I said.
"Yes! Yes!"
They were still laughing, still laughing.
"Lord Yiluodiya, thank you," they said.
"We feel much better now."
"That's good."
"Also, Lord Yiluodiya showed us a different side of the Demon King, and we are very grateful. If the Demon King is truly like how you described, then the Demon King is also someone worth liking."
"That's right, we were worried that you would be taken advantage of, but seeing you so happy as the receiver, we can rest assured," they said.
"Hmph, of course. The Demon King is the best in the world."
"In every aspect."
"Hey, you guys!" I slapped the table.
It was truly infuriating, they were teasing me again.
On the surface, I pretended to be angry, but deep down, I was glad to have such a relationship with LinsiDaisy.
