Happy as I am, there's something important to discuss.

I pulled up a chair and sat down properly in front of her, getting close.

"Master, it's about those two humans. I spent the whole day trying to persuade them, but... I'm not sure how to express it," I played with my fingers, unsure. "Master, why don't you just read my mind."

Indeed, mind-reading would be quite convenient. If there is something I want to say, I can simply think it in my mind, and Master will naturally understand the meaning.

Master looked at me with a helpless smile and nodded. After a while, she spoke.

"For now, let's keep them. That human named Fei-Rui is from another world. You should ask him how he ended up here. Such things don't just happen for no reason."

"Oh..." I hadn't thought of that. "I'll ask him next time."

"I'm curious about what he can bring to our demon clan. Since humans don't value him, let's give him a chance to develop."

"Yes."

Great, Master doesn't object to what I'm doing.

Lately, I've been getting too close to humans, and I'm afraid Master would have some objections.

"Since Master hates humans, you must have some opinions about me too, right?"

Looking up at Master, I said in a low voice. Even if I didn't say it out loud, she would know, wouldn't she?

However, Master shook her head with a smile.

"Who told you that I hate humans?"

"Huh?"

For a moment, my mind couldn't catch up.

Master doesn't hate humans? If not for the stubbornness of humans, the previous Demon King wouldn't have been tragicly killed by the Hero. If Master doesn't hate humans, then why did she start a war?

Curiously, I stared at Master, and she looked straight back at me, clearly turning off her mind-reading ability.

"Regarding the previous Demon King...," I started to say, but halfway through, I wasn't sure whether to continue or not, so I looked at Master with difficulty.

However, Master's face remained calm and expressionless, revealing no emotional fluctuations.

"Whoever dies on the battlefield, whether by ambush or in a fair fight, they should blame no one but themselves. Once you step onto the battlefield, you should be prepared to die," she said.

I widened my eyes, somewhat surprised.

Doesn't Master hold any grudge against the Hero killing the previous Demon King? I couldn't help but swallow, just how terrifying is she?

"But back then, I was genuinely sad, even though I knew this truth," Master reached out and touched my head, her face adorned with a faint smile, yet I felt a hint of desolation.

"Well then, let's not mention that anymore."

Taking Master's hand off me, I held it with both hands, trying to convey warmth.

Master, though seemingly in control of everything, as the queen of the demon clan, lacks the warmth of a home.

Master removed her hand from mine, stood up, and turned towards the door, as I looked at her back in confusion.

"I'll take you out for dinner tonight."

"Okay."

Despite not being much taller than me, I followed behind Master, feeling the imposing aura she emitted. After all, my Master is the queen of the demon clan.

Analyzing the world as a whole.

The Demon Kingdom is located in the southwest of this unnamed continent, while the Human Kingdom is in the northeast.

The continent is surrounded by vast oceans, and no one knows what lies beyond the sea. I'm not sure if this world is a planet like Earth or not.

The territory of the Human Kingdom on this continent is about three times larger than that of the Demon Kingdom, and their population is more than ten times that of the demons.

However, soon the main continent will be ours, the demons.

I finally understand what Heath Relia meant by saying that this world is boring.

Overall, that's true.

The war between demons and humans never ends. Demons always think about how to invade humans, while the humans always try to resist the demons. In thousands of years, there has only been one occasion where the demons were counterattacked.

Personally, I think the demons and humans have fallen into a cycle of death. The whole world seems to be a bit sick.

Wars can promote technological progress to some extent, but the countless wars between demons and humans over the past thousand years have greatly hindered the development of civilization in this world. Everyone is focused on fighting, neglecting cultural development. Humans' research in technology is also focused solely on the battlefield.Reconciliation is impossible, as humans are stubborn and the demon race is proud. The anti-demon sentiment among humans is now akin to a cult, while the demon side is relatively unaffected, as we are the invading force.

If things continue like this, the world will forever remain in a primitive state. It is time to put an end to this vicious cycle.

The master's choice is to destroy human nations and allow the demon race to become the rulers of this world, leading the progress of civilization.

So far, this is all I know about this world, and there is more to discover in the future.

After a while, I finally arrived at Ferris's room and asked someone to open the door. Ferris was sitting at the dining table in the middle of the room, drinking tea. If I hadn't seen him hold a teacup, I would have thought he was drinking alcohol.

Ferris only glanced at me with his peripheral vision when I arrived, then slowly sipped his tea. "Welcome," he said casually. Why does it feel like I'm at his house?

I didn't pay much attention to his attitude, as he was much nicer to me now compared to before. "Please sit," he said as he gestured for me to sit across from him. I had no objections, so I sat down and he immediately respected me by pouring a cup of tea. Now I truly felt like a guest.

"If you have any questions, feel free to ask," he said.

"Why did you surrender to me so easily?" I asked.

Ferris froze for a moment when he raised his teacup, then looked up with a bitter expression. "Sylvie mediated and it was hard for me to refuse her," he confessed.

"Does that mean..."

"Yes," he admitted frankly.

It's a pity that Sylvie only likes cute things.

Returning to the main topic, I asked, "How did you come to this world?"

"It's simple. After I died in my previous life, I chose to be reborn and ended up here," he replied.

Although that's how things are usually written in novels, isn't it too simple? If it were that easy to travel to another world, shouldn't there be countless transmigrators in this world?

"Do you have any special abilities?" I asked, as transmigrators usually have some kind of cheat.

"I do. My physical abilities surpass your demon race, but compared to you, I am weak as a leaf," Ferris said, finishing his tea in one gulp before putting the cup down heavily on the table, making a dull sound. He looked like he was in pain from drinking alcohol.

Don't treat it like alcohol!

"Yiluodiya, the legend of the demon race, isn't a demon after all?" he stared at me earnestly. "Sigh, I was once filled with passion, but in the end, I was never the protagonist."

Come to think of it, I don't think I told him that I was also a transmigrator. Well, since we're not from the same place, I might as well keep it a secret.

"Naive," I said.

"I finally understand that someone with a protagonist halo has to actually be the protagonist and survive to deserve the title," he said with a sigh. Then he returned to his dead fish-eye expression.

I suddenly regretted interrupting him. I should have listened to his story first.

"Let me get straight to the point. By combining the knowledge from my previous world and the magic of this world, merging two civilizations and extracting the essence while discarding the flaws, a new form of science can be created. I call it magical science. In the future, mecha sci-fi will be possible, you know? Mecha is the romance of men."

I shook my head. Even if I had been a man in my previous life, I had no interest in mecha. I didn't quite understand Ferris's emotions.

It seems that Ferris's original world didn't have magic either, so I continued to listen to his explanation.

"If magic can be scientifically controlled and utilized, this world can fully develop into a high-magic world through technology. It can use biological knowledge to create mutated species, explore hybridization of living organisms, and even research creatures called dragons. With the power of magic, anything is possible. However, this is only my speculation. In my previous life, I was just an ordinary corporate worker with limited knowledge. All I can offer you is theoretical research.""Do you have anything else to add?"

"Of course. First, let me talk about theory. If possible, I can teach you demons some scientific principles. Not only limited to animals, but also applicable to plants. If we can successfully develop mutated crops unique to this world, it will completely liberate the productivity of farmers. There will no longer be a farmer class in the future. Going even further, floating islands and underwater cities are all possible. There is so much more to discuss, but I can't explain it all at once. And even if I did, you wouldn't understand."

If I were a native of this world and not a transmigrator, of course, I wouldn't understand. But since I am a transmigrator, I'll just continue pretending.

I nodded, allowing him to speak, partly to test his knowledge and imagination. It seems that Ferry is doing well.

"Here's the plan, Yiluodiya. Have someone fetch me a notebook and a pen, and I'll try to write down all my ideas with annotations to ensure that you demons can understand."

"Alright."

"Of course, I'll also become a teacher for you demons in the future, teaching you things."

"Do we have to wait until the war is over?"

"No, we don't. Because I won't join you demons on the battlefield to kill humans. I can't become a hero on the battlefield. I just hope that one day you demons will remember me and my advanced knowledge. Also...I need time to prepare."

"No problem."

Sadness appeared on Ferry's face as he poured himself another cup of tea and drank it in one gulp.

"I never expected that I would become a teacher so soon and leave the battlefield behind. Please don't rush me during this time. Everything has happened so suddenly, and I need time to adjust and prepare."

"Okay." But I still have one question, "Why don't you change human society? You could become a hero among humans too."

"Humans don't value me. The ideas I propose and the things I invent need to be submitted to team leaders first, and then the leaders submit them to the government for them to be effective. I am limited by the team. In simple terms, I don't have patents for my inventions, and unfortunately, I don't have their funding and materials to support my theories."

"I see."

"That's why I joined the battlefield to kill enemies, but this is also my dream. To become a hero, to hope that one day there will be stories of a person named Ferry who once rode through the battlefield and created brilliance. However, this dream was shattered along the way. And the main culprit is you."

Ferry glared at me fiercely, his eyes full of resentment and helplessness.

I felt deeply sorry and stood up.

If Ferry ever publishes a book in the future, the author will definitely credit him. I won't be as heartless as the human team he mentioned.

"I'll have someone bring you the notebook and pen. I have to go now."
