In the evening, Iris and the others were about to head to the Dragon Lizard Canyon when a small black ball emitting a red glow abruptly appeared at Iris' feet.
"What's going on?" Iris wondered, looking down at the red glow.
Iris reached out and picked it up. "Federer, where have you been these days?"
The red glow gradually faded, revealing Federer's figure.
"Dissipated~" Federer's voice was as unpleasant as scratching iron with cat claws.
Iris casually put Federer in her pocket. "Let's go."
Shizhi and Qizhou followed closely behind Iris, flying towards the Dragon Lizard Canyon.
Lilan Zu arrived in Lilia's dorm room and placed a letter on the bedside table. She glanced at the sleeping Lilia and whispered with her lips moving: Goodnight, sister.
Then, she quietly left.
In the military camp, Lilan Zu looked at the well-organized soldiers standing in line, her face frosty, and said sternly, "Set out! The target is the White Stork Empire."
Thirty thousand elite vampire warriors lurked in the cover of darkness, quietly approaching the White Stork Empire's camp.
An earth-shattering battle was about to begin.
...
Two days later, at dawn, the first light of dawn rose.
Thick mist filled the central area of the Dragon Lizard Canyon, and a huge stone statue stood in the center, resembling a dragon soaring through clouds and mists.
On the back of the stone statue were three ancient dragon characters. Due to Iris' intense focus on cultivation, she did not understand other races' writings.
These three characters contained tremendous pressure, as if they held infinite power that made people dare not meet their gaze.
All the dragon lizards crawled before the stone statue, showing their reverence and supreme respect.
The dragon lizards were massive, with the largest one being twenty meters long and seven to eight meters tall. They had majestic and imposing physiques.
This dragon lizard closely resembled the earth dragons of the dragon race, with strong and powerful limbs and meat wings on its back. Its tail swayed, and its body beneath the scales was as hard as iron, gleaming with cold light.
The meat wings were too short and, combined with the opponent's massive size, they simply couldn't fly. At best, they served as decorations.
"Valhalla!" Qizhou recognized the text on the stone statue and exclaimed in shock.
Iris glanced at the text on the stone statue and faintly guessed what it meant. She asked, "What is Valhalla?"
"It is said that when a dragon warrior dies, they will transform into dragon souls and enter Valhalla to become Valkyries." Qizhou explained, "I suspect that in this secret realm, we may encounter dragons."
The mist became thicker, and the visibility became blurred. Above the stone statue, there were faint shadows of flying dragons.
A strong pressure enveloped the Dragon Lizard Canyon. All the dragon lizards roared, as if they were welcoming their majesty, their excitement and enthusiasm in full swing.
Across the canyon stood Heifa, Blood Howl, Night Demon, and a group of Ruined Land warriors.
"Heifa, what are the three words on the stone statue? And what's with these dragon lizards? Why are they kneeling before the statue?" Blood Howl asked, staring at the dragon lizards in the distance, itching to provoke them.
Heifa, the intellectual, looked at Blood Howl with disdain and said, "The three words on the stone statue are Valhalla. The dragon lizards are kneeling to welcome the new Your Majesty. It wouldn't hurt to learn a few more languages instead of just obsessively exercising. It's useless."
"Battle relies on intelligence, not physical strength. No matter how strong one's body is, it is no match for a sword through the heart," Black Magic pointed to his own head.
"Hmph," Blood Howl sneered disdainfully. "With your physique, I could knock you down with just one punch."
Black Magic: ...
"That's enough!" Night Demon shouted sternly. "Save the bickering for later. Our current mission is to obtain the item known as the 'Scenery' from the secret realm."
Black Magic and Blood Howl stopped arguing. Black Magic reflected for a moment. It was indeed a waste of breath to talk too much to someone simple-minded like Blood Howl, who relied solely on physical strength. With enough power, any strategy would be nothing more than a joke.
Meanwhile, a woman with short blue and white hair arrived at Dragon Lizard Canyon. Her skin was as cold as ice, and her beauty was otherworldly, like a fairy who abstained from earthly matters.
Her blue and white arms were crossed over her chest, and her golden pupils exuded divinity as she quietly observed the scene before her.
"Let's go in and take a look! Perhaps we will encounter fellow beings," she gently opened her lips, her soft and pleasant voice warming the hearts like spring water.
She took a step towards the canyon, her immaculate white armor accentuating her holy aura.
The canyon was eerily silent, with only mist swirling around. The roars of the dragon lizards hid within the mist.
Accompanied by a dragon's roar, a huge vortex appeared above the stone carvings, engulfing everyone in the mist into its whirlpool.
The vortex slowly contracted until it disappeared completely.
Iris opened her eyes to pitch-black darkness.
The surrounding scenery was desolate, with no trees or grass, only muddy rocks and exposed pillars.
"Where are Qizhou and Shizhi?" Iris looked around but couldn't find any trace of them. "Something feels strange..."
Just then, Iris's ears twitched, catching a distant sound. The sound was chaotic, filled with anger and fear.
"Somebody is fighting!" Iris furrowed her brows and quickly rushed towards the direction of the sound at a fast pace.
When Iris arrived at the scene, she could only see several dead witch tribe members lying on the ground. Blood flowed, staining the ground, and a strong smell of blood permeated the air.
"Who killed these witch tribe members?" Iris squatted down to examine the bodies and found that they had all died from claw attacks.
It seemed to be the native creatures of the secret realm, perhaps some kind of exotic beast.
"Wuwu~"
A crying sound reached her ears, sending shivers down her spine, causing her hair to stand on end involuntarily.
Iris followed the sound until she saw a dragonhound, completely white in color, with a face and body resembling that of a dog but with a horn on its forehead. It had a dragon's body, emerald green eyes, razor-sharp teeth, and exuded a ferocious aura. The dragonhound was opening its jaws, mimicking the sound of crying, with bloodstains on its mouth and paws.
Without hesitation, Iris raised her hand and conjured black flames, instantly incinerating the dragonhound's body.
The dragonhound let out a wailing cry, writhing in pain on the ground.
"Ahwoo..." The dragonhound's miserable howls gradually ceased, and it fell to the ground.
Iris sensed something amiss and prepared to flee, but as she turned around, two dragonhounds abruptly emerged from the bushes, blocking her path, one on the left and one on the right.
"It seems like there's no way to save energy." With these words, a sword with runes appeared in Iris's hand.
"Flame!" Iris muttered, and the runes on the sword turned into a fire elemental symbol. She swung the sword fiercely, and a torrent of blazing flames poured out, incinerating the blocking dragon hounds to ashes.
Iris immediately left the area, or else more dragon hounds would come.
This sword was obtained by Iris from the abyss. Since she started practicing spear techniques taught by her mother, she seldom used swords anymore.
Perhaps only in battle against an opponent, Iris would draw the sinister Starfall Sword hidden beneath her Silver Wing Spear, catching them off guard.
