Chapter 374: Sacred Artifact of the Elf Clan

Morning.

Iris rubbed her tired eyes and yawned as she sat up. The black flame that was patrolling next to her flickered slightly before entering her right arm.

Following that, Iris leaped down from the tree and landed gracefully on the ground.

"Vampire girl, you need to go into seclusion for a while. Your current physical condition is too weak," Chaos's voice echoed in Iris's mind.

"I know..."

Immediately, she spread her blood wings and flew towards the direction of the Shuowang Empire.

Shortly after Iris left, a beautiful elven girl dressed in magnificent clothing appeared. The girl had a slender and tall figure, exquisite beauty, and fair skin that was as translucent as crystal.

"Vampires...such disgusting creatures." The girl muttered to herself. A pair of pure white elven wings sprouted from her back; these wings were golden with a hint of transparency, emitting a soft radiance that displayed her noble status.

The girl looked towards where Rodney's body lay, and then used her plant-based magic to control the surrounding soil, burying Rodney's corpse.

"Our ancestors paid with their lives to trap you here, and now you have been killed by a vampire. It seems that the revenge of my elven race is still a long and arduous path." The girl continued walking, her gaze fixed on the markings and dried blood on the walls of the temple. The walls were also engraved with elven script.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I should not have coveted this unknown power, which led to the tragedy of our elven Your Majesty. I'm sorry..." This was probably the repentance letter Rodney wrote after regaining his consciousness. After reading it once, the girl shook her head and continued forward.

She passed through the hall, climbed the stairs, and arrived at a wall. She drew a dagger from her waist and cut her own palm, allowing the crimson liquid to flow.

"The 30th generation elven Your Majesty, Rize Sylph, offers the blood of our Your Majesty race to enter the holy mountain. Please guide us, great ancestors, towards our future." Rize Sylph prayed devoutly.

"Hum!"

The wall began to ripple, and then a passage leading to the mountaintop opened. The passage was deep and quiet, as if it led to another world.

Rize stepped inside and encountered some strange flowers and trees along the way. The petals of those flowers were pink and emitted an enticing fragrance, while the leaves shimmered with a blue-purple electric glow, as if containing astonishing thunder power.

"Silver Lightning Treant, sire." Rize stopped walking and bowed to the towering tree in front of her.

The Silver Lightning Treant was the guardian deity of the holy mountain, possessing extremely high wisdom. Its branches struck down on Rize's forehead vertically, "Your appearance is quite similar to your ancestors'. You must be a member of the elven royal family."

"I am Rize Sylph, the current female Your Majesty of the elven race," Rize answered respectfully.

"There is what you seek on the mountaintop. I hope you can lead the elven race out of the darkness once again." The Silver Lightning Treant spoke kindly.

"I will!" Rize saluted the Silver Lightning Treant and then turned to fly towards the mountaintop.

The Silver Lightning Treant watched Rize's disappearing figure and slowly swayed its crown while murmuring, "Since the passing of the third generation elven Your Majesty, no member of the royal family has come here. It seems that the elven race is about to rise again."

At the end of the mountain peak, there stood a magnificent and grand castle. Faint melodious singing could be heard from within that colossal castle.

The singing voice was melodious and pleasant, sounding like celestial music in Rize Silverf's ears. It was the ancient elf ritual song - "Prayer". Immediately, Rize began to sing the lyrics of the ritual song.

"May the stars in the night sky guide you on your path, with endless starlight. May the dawn's first light shine upon the earth, dispersing all the filth of Evilness. As the darkness fades, the world is renewed with vitality..." Rize's voice was as clear as a oriole.

As Rize's singing echoed throughout the entire mountain range, a dazzling radiance burst forth from the castle, a milky white light broke through the layers of mist, spreading across the entire forest.

Rize Silverf opened her eyes wide. This milky white light seemed to be able to purify everything, filling her heart with tranquility and warmth.

Under the enveloping light pillar, Rize felt a strong summoning, as if it were calling out to her.

Without hesitation, Rize walked towards the center of the castle.

She stood beneath the light pillar, looking up at it. A sword and a staff fell, symbolizing the power of Your Majesty, the first elf ruler.

Rize reached out and touched the two items that symbolized the power of Your Majesty, and they slowly became transparent in her hands, eventually turning into a ray of light, merging into her body.

The sword was called "Silverlight", silver all over, exceptionally sharp, having severed the heads of countless enemies. The staff was called "Flourished Twig", white with intricate patterns covering its surface, exuding the ancient and weighty history. Each pattern represented immortality, enhancing the power of the staff's wielder.

After obtaining these two items, she left the Elf Sanctuary, muttering under her breath, "One day, I will lead our people back to this forest and cleanse the shame we elves have suffered..."

Thinking of revenge, Rize thought of her foolish sister, Ria. She didn't expect that this stupid sister, who acted out of spite, would actually be able to rescue their mother from the vampire's prison.

In terms of revenge, Ria was on the side of peace, while Rize belonged to the radical faction. Vampire caused irreparable pain to the elf race, yet this fool was advocating for peace. As expected, Rize used her status as Your Majesty to lock Ria in solitary confinement for reflection and education. Once she corrected her mistakes, the confinement would be lifted naturally.

The most outrageous thing was that this fool even praised the vampire Queen Yinsha, believing that the vampire Queen was her friend, truly naive and foolish.

If it weren't for Ria handing over the elf key to the vampire Queen, how could their mother be released? This fool didn't even consider whether the vampire Queen would keep her promise.

Thinking of that foolish sister, Rize had a headache.

...

The moon was bright, and silver moonlight spilled over the capital of Shuowang Empire. The city's lights were already lit. The streets were bustling with people, a thriving and lively scene.

As Iris took a step into the palace, Baixi burst into tears and snot, crying out, "Mother, you're finally back! That scarecrow is so terrifying! You must find a way to expel it from the palace!"

"What scarecrow?" Iris asked knowingly.

"It's a scarecrow! It has big iron claws, a black-red battle scythe, and is made up of withered yellow straw," Baixi responded anxiously.

"Mom, tell me a story."

"What kind of story?" Baixi tilted her head, looking at Iris.

"There is a village on the Divinity and Demon's Continent, where people are wealthy and comfortable. The children there do not strive to cultivate themselves; they bully the weak with treasures passed down from their ancestors," Iris narrated, vividly portraying the story as if she was telling a book.

"And then?" Baixi blinked her big watery eyes, eagerly asking.

"And then the scarecrow appears. It kills everyone in the village, completely destroying it, leaving no survivors," Iris said calmly.

Baixi listened to the story with a puzzled expression. Shouldn't the scarecrow kill the oppressors instead? Why does it slaughter the whole village?

Iris touched Baixi's little head and smiled in an unfathomable way. "Because the scarecrow enjoys seeing the terrified expressions and desperate screams of people before they die."

"Uh..." Baixi was momentarily speechless.

Soon, Iris walked towards the sleeping quarters, and Baixi followed, holding onto Iris' arm. "I want to sleep with Mom."

Without Iris refusing, Baixi spoke up first. "There are scarecrows in the palace, and I'm scared. I feel safe with Mom."

"It's up to you."
