The demon doctor walked into Room 209 and pushed open the door. Lying on the pristine white hospital bed was Lanzu, wearing a blue striped patient gown, a red collar around her neck, and disheveled hair. Her gaze was unfocused as she stared at the ceiling.

Her face looked extremely haggard, and she was so thin that she seemed as if she could collapse at any moment, like a bag of bones.

"Hello, are you Lanzu?" The demon doctor bowed slightly and politely asked Lanzu.

Lanzu slowly turned her head and looked at the demon doctor with cloudy eyes as she asked, "Did she send you? I'm already a prisoner, is there a need for such courtesy towards me?"

"You are mistaken. You are not wearing prisoner's clothes and locked up in a prison. You can't be considered a prisoner. Moreover, how can a prisoner receive the treatment of a noble? " The demon doctor smiled and said, "Setting aside your status as an angel, you are His Majesty's cousin. Naturally, we treat you with respect."

Lanzu sneered and said nothing more.

"His Majesty asked me to tell you that if you continue to refuse food, he will personally come to feed you." After saying that, the demon doctor placed the food on the bedside table. "Please enjoy!"

As Lanzu looked at the steaming bowl of soup, disgust flickered in her eyes.

Having done all of this, the demon doctor left the room and closed the door.

Lanzu lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, her face showing a sad expression. She murmured to herself, "Sister, are you still alive?"

Due to the restriction of the collar around her neck, Lanzu's physical strength was limited to a very low level. She had no strength to get up from the bed and could only lie there, staring at the ceiling in a daze.

Every day was like this. Lanzu was almost numb.

Her mind had long stopped working. Now, the only thing she could do was stare into space.

Wait a minute.

Did that demon doctor say that I am His Majesty's cousin? Could she be Iris?

Lanzu recalled the appearance of the person referred to as "His Majesty" by the demon doctor, but she couldn't associate that figure with Iris at all.

First of all, the difference in appearance between the two was vast. Secondly, there was a difference in the choice of weapons: one used a sword, while the other used a gun. Iris used black flames in her magic, while this person used White Flame.

It was simply incomprehensible.

...

In the early morning, the autumn wind rustled the leaves, making a rustling sound.

Yar turned over in bed, stretched lazily, and slowly opened her eyes. She rubbed her sleepy eyes and felt very comfortable. "Hmm~ so comfortable."

Yar realized that she was back in her own room and began to recall the scenes from last night. She had been toasting the Demon Emperor, and then she blacked out after drinking too much. She had no memory of what happened afterwards.

Based on the banquet yesterday, it seemed that the Demon Emperor had sent her back to her room.

Thinking of this, Yar felt a warm feeling in her heart. She started to imagine that the Demon Emperor must have carried her to bed in a princess carry, then took off her shoes and socks, and tucked her in.

"The Demon Emperor must have feelings for Yar!" Joy filled Yar's heart, and her face turned pink involuntarily. Her heart was pounding.

In her mind, the handsome and elegant face of the Demon Emperor kept appearing, along with his gentle gaze and heartfelt confession...

For a moment, Yar felt her head spinning.

"Oops~" Yar tapped her own head and muttered to herself, "Yar, be reserved! Wait a minute, I'm a succubus, what am I trying to be reserved for? My role is to be a good wife, serving and satisfying the Demon Emperor's physical needs..."

As she imagined further, Yar felt her face burning and couldn't help but cover her cheeks, feeling bashful.

"The Demon Emperor is a woman and she should have conservative thoughts, not expressing her love actively. But I'm a succubus, so I should take the initiative," Yar thought she had found the right path.

She decided to warm the Demon Emperor's bed every night and find a way to record the Demon Emperor's unusual needs. That way, when they shared a bed, it would be more exciting.

"Well... that's settled," Yar made up her mind and immediately went to take a shower, changing into a white ceremonial dress, ready to meet the Demon Emperor.

After freshening up, Yar went to look for the Demon Emperor directly.

Moments later, Yar saw the Demon Emperor sitting in the dining hall, elegantly having breakfast.

Sitting across from the Demon Emperor was a white-haired mature lady in a chiffon dress, her ample bosom almost bursting, not losing to Yar at all. Her face had light makeup, giving off a mature and seductive vibe.

The Demon Emperor was having breakfast with another woman!

Seeing this scene, Yar gritted her teeth, feeling a strong sense of jealousy, wanting to go up and kick that mature lady down and take her place.

Yar immediately put away her fierce expression, returning to a gentle demeanor, gracefully walking towards the Demon Emperor and respectfully bowing, "Yar pays homage to the Demon Emperor!"

Iris looked up and glanced at Yar, saying, "No need for such ceremony. If you haven't had breakfast, let's eat together."

"Thank you, Demon Emperor," Yar felt relieved inside, but still spoke respectfully.

She sat on the left side of the Demon Emperor, with some distance between her and the mature lady. A smile appeared on her face as she glanced at the mature lady from the corner of her eye.

Baixi didn't notice at all. After all, what could a six or seven-year-old child understand? She was wholeheartedly enjoying the pastries on her plate, looking intoxicated.

Yar sneered in her heart, "Idiot, you dare to compete with me for the Demon Emperor!"

Although she despised this woman deep down, Yar dared not show it openly, so she could only silently curse her in her heart.

"Do you need me to attend to you, Demon Emperor?" Yar asked the Demon Emperor gently, portraying a virtuous and gentle image.

The Demon Emperor glanced at Yar and shook her head, "No need, you can have your meal first."

"Yes," Yar obediently replied and lowered her head to continue eating.

From time to time, she glanced at the Demon Emperor and noticed that she was talking to the mature lady.

"This is delicious, you should try it!" Baixi held out a pastry and offered it to Iris.

Iris opened her mouth and bit into the pastry, savoring its sweet and delightful taste.

"You're getting better at this," Iris praised.

"Of course, I've been working hard," Baixi proudly raised her head, looking extremely pleased with herself.

Hearing this, Yar felt itchy with jealousy.

"This opponent is strong! She actually conquered the Demon Emperor's taste buds," Yar thought to herself.

She couldn't underestimate this white-haired lady!

"Why isn't this sister having breakfast? Is it because what I made isn't delicious?" Baixi looked at Yar.

"This woman dares to challenge me! I accept your challenge," Yar thought to herself, but outwardly maintained a gentle and virtuous demeanor.

Yar smiled softly at Baixi and said tenderly, "Your culinary skills are top-notch. Yar admires you greatly."

"There's no need for flattery, just speak your mind if there's any criticism," Baixi said as she delicately picked up a pastry and placed it in her mouth.

Although Yar appeared calm and refined on the surface, she was actually seething with anger. If it weren't for the presence of the Demon Emperor, she would have torn this silver-haired beauty to shreds!

The Demon Emperor belonged to her alone, and she wouldn't allow any other woman to approach him!

"Fake is fake, even if it's made legitimate," Yar sneered, her disdain evident.

Upon hearing this, Iris and Baixi looked confused and both turned their gaze towards Yar, seemingly puzzled by her sudden remark.

Suddenly, Baixi spoke up, "I agree. Fake is fake, and the dream of a crow turning into a phoenix will never come true."

How dare this woman mock her like this! Yar couldn't swallow this insult! You won't survive the night!

Although Yar was a succubus, she wasn't fickle like other succubi. Her body belonged to the Demon Emperor, and so did her heart. She was devoted to him for life.

But this woman compared her to a chicken - it was a complete insult!

"Hehe... You're right! I feel the same way," Yar revealed a bright smile, but a cruel glint flashed in her eyes.

"Mother, I've finished eating. Please take your time. I'll take my leave," Baixi stood up, bowed, and walked away, leaving Yar with a look of astonishment.

"Demon Emperor, is she... your daughter?" Yar widened her eyes, unable to believe what she was hearing.

"Yes, her name is Baixi. She's my eldest daughter," Iris nodded and continued enjoying her food.

So she's the eldest daughter!!!

That means the Demon Emperor has other daughters, perhaps even sons...

Yar felt her whole world collapsing. She was overwhelmed with deep sadness. Whoever took the Demon Emperor's first time would definitely pay with their life.

"Demon Emperor, how many children do you have?" Yar mustered up the courage to ask.

"Children? Baixi is my familiar, raised by me since she was young. What's wrong with calling me 'mother'?" Iris frowned, a look of confusion on her face.

Yar was at a loss for words. She knew she had asked a question she shouldn't have. She quickly changed her tune, "Oh, it's nothing. I misspoke, that's all."

"It's fine," Iris said calmly, "Although Baixi has a mature figure, she's actually only six or seven years old and doesn't have any ulterior motives."

"I see, I thought..." Yar's face turned a bit embarrassed, but she didn't continue.

"What did you think?" Iris looked at Yar with curiosity.

"I thought Baixi was insulting me when she mentioned the crow turning into a phoenix..." Yar cautiously said.

"Pfft!" Iris burst out laughing and a piece of pastry flew out of her mouth. "Baixi was actually agreeing with you. It means that a crow can never turn into a phoenix, it can only be food. Baixi loves roasted crow the most."

Hearing this, Yar felt a bit relieved. Her emotions were like on a roller coaster, but now her mood was finally returning to normal.
