Chapter 289 Reception

Iris sat on the main seat in the reception room, picked up the teapot and poured herself a cup of tea, taking a sip.

At that moment, a maid knocked on Yar's door and said, "Miss Yar, Her Majesty the Queen summons you."

Upon hearing this, Yar immediately stopped stitching and put the pillows and dolls on the bed. She adjusted her pure white dress and left the room.

Guided by the maid, Yar arrived in the reception room where she saw Iris sitting on the main seat.

"Greetings, Your Majesty," Yar bowed and saluted.

"No need to be so formal since you have the blood jade token of your ancestors," Iris waved her hand, indicating that Yar didn't need to be so formal.

"Thank you, Your Majesty," Yar slightly raised her head, revealing a beautiful face. Her long eyelashes trembled lightly, her eyes were gentle and charming, and her every expression exuded allure.

This made Iris couldn't help but be a little stunned, especially the two soft mounds on her chest, which made Iris somewhat jealous. She couldn't help but feel envious, but she didn't show it on her face. Instead, she remained calm.

However, she noticed the pair of black angel wings around Yar's waist, which made Iris somewhat cautious. She speculated in secret, "Is this woman an angel?"

With a beautiful face, an excellent body, and wings that resemble those of an angel, albeit black in color.

Iris recalled Martial Angel and Intellect Angel, whose angelic form was also very beautiful. However, their wings were on their backs and pure white in color, unlike the woman in front of her whose wings were black and situated at her waist, with goat-like curled horns on her head.

For a moment, Iris found it difficult to determine whether the other person was an angel or a beastman.

Yar was also evaluating this Blood Clan's Majesty. She was deeply astonished and even felt that this Blood Clan Empress before her was not a descendant of Cecilia at all.

In her understanding, Cecilia's descendants were all silver-haired with blue eyes (red eyes when underage), and their appearances were basically identical. How could this Cecilia descendant before her have the figure of a young girl and golden-red pupils? It simply defied logic!

The two stared at each other for quite some time, suspicious of each other's true identities.

"Cough, cough, cough..." Iris felt uncomfortable under the other's gaze and lightly coughed, breaking the eerie silence.

Upon hearing Iris cough, Yar immediately snapped out of her daze. She composed herself and asked directly, "Are you really a descendant of Cecilia's royal family? What about your mother?"

Yar's questions were straightforward, without any beating around the bush.

Upon hearing the inquiry about Lilia, Iris's face couldn't hide the gloominess. Hatred gleamed in her eyes as she clenched her fists, silently uttering, "Lilia..."

Yar noticed Iris's change in expression, and her heart skipped a beat. Could it be that this generation's Majesty and her mother didn't get along?

Iris stood up slowly from the main seat, looking at the other with a proud expression. "What is your name? Why have you come to find me? If you don't believe that I am a descendant of Cecilia, then please leave!"

With that, Iris let out a cold snort and gestured with her sleeve.

Yar could feel that the young girl in front of her wasn't a kind person; her eyes flashed with a chilling light.

Although Yar was not afraid of anyone, she didn't want to stir up trouble either. She needed to harness the power of the Blood Clan to find the trace of the Demon Emperor.

Yar decided to temporarily avoid conflict, unwilling to complicate matters further.

She bowed to the other, "Empress of the Blood Clan, I do not doubt you. It's just that your appearance differs from the impression I had of Cecilia's descendants. That's why I wanted to clarify who you are."

Iris's gaze gradually regained calmness as flames of blood burned in her hands. She looked at Yar and said, "I am called Iris, the Empress of the Empire of Dawn."

Seeing that the other could utilize blood flames, Yar confirmed that she was indeed a descendant of Cecilia. She felt relieved, realizing that she had been overly suspicious.

"I am Yar, a friend of the First Generation Blood Empress. It wouldn't be an exaggeration for you to call me Auntie Ancestor. I have a very simple purpose for coming to the Empire of Dawn, and that is to seek your assistance in finding someone," Yar said with a smile. She openly stated the purpose of her visit without any concealment.

"Auntie Ancestor? Wow, this is quite an impressive guest," Iris muttered to herself. However, she did not say what she was thinking out loud and instead squinted her eyes and said, "Since you are a friend of the Ancestor, you must not be an ordinary person either."

"Of course. I can tell you without hesitation that I am a pure white demon. Are you scared?" Yar proudly declared. This was the confidence that came with being a demon.

In the eyes of demons, there was nothing to fear. They possessed strong powers of hierarchy and naturally did not fear any living beings.

Iris was not surprised by this information. Instead, she remained surprisingly calm. Since the other party was a demon, she had no need to consider killing them.

What surprised her was that Chaos did not speak up upon seeing his demon general. Could it be that the demon general could also sense the presence of the Demon Emperor? Perhaps Chaos had hidden his aura again because of this demon named Yar.

Seeing Chaos remain silent, Iris also did not acknowledge the identity of the Demon Emperor and continued, "You are a friend of the Ancestor, so why should I be afraid? Is it possible that Auntie Ancestor wants to harm me?"

Her words struck a chord with Yar, as it made sense that Auntie Ancestor would not harm her. After all, she was Iris's Auntie Ancestor, so why would she be scared?

"Auntie Ancestor, may I ask whether the person you are looking for is male or female? Are there any specific characteristics?" Iris continued to inquire.

"He should be male, with red irises and a handsome face. In certain situations, he would have three black spines on his shoulders. He has deep blue hair, thorny arms, a strong and muscular body, and impeccable eight-pack abs," Yar recalled as she described the appearance of the Demon Emperor. Her tone was filled with admiration and awe, almost to the point of obsession.

Iris took out paper and a pen and pretended to jot down the characteristics described by Yar. She planned to send her recruits to search, treating it as a practice exercise.

"Auntie Ancestor, I have recorded the characteristics of the person you mentioned on paper. You can rest assured and go back. I will definitely inform you when I find this person."

"Thank you, Iris," Yar waved at Iris and turned to leave. Before leaving, she reminded Iris, "Make sure to find him."

"Rest assured, Auntie Ancestor," Iris waved back at Yar.

With that, her figure slowly disappeared.

Watching Yar's figure disappear, Chaos finally spoke up, "Bloodline girl, you did well."

"Heh, the mighty Demon Emperor is actually afraid of his subordinates. I never would have expected that. You really make me look at you in a new light," Iris said, her tone full of mockery.

"I am doing it for your own good. If you don't believe me, you can expose the Demon Emperor's identity to Yar. Let me remind you, Yar's loyalty to the Demon Emperor, which is you, is extremely high. Every demon has the potential to betray, but Yar will never betray you," Chaos said with a serious tone.

"For my own good? You have the audacity to say that when my right hand was severed by Lilia and you have some responsibility for it," Iris said with irritation.

"I don't want to argue with you. If you don't believe me, expose yourself in a few days," Chaos said, no longer interested in talking to Iris and simply sealed his lips.

"Hmph, I'll reveal my identity in a few days. I'm curious to see how Yar will react," Iris snorted.

Yar, as Chaos's number one fan, had reached a level of loyalty and adoration that was difficult to understand, bordering on obsession. Chaos was well aware of Yar referring to herself as the Demon Emperor's rightful consort.

If Iris exposed her identity, Yar would likely use her tailoring abilities to make life-sized cushions resembling Iris and engage in all sorts of strange activities.
