Another day, the sunlight spilled into the room, illuminating all the objects inside. Strands of golden sunlight fell on the floor, as if laying out a carpet of golden glory, shimmering with dazzling brilliance.

The sunlight shone on the girl lying on the bed, making Ling Ji appear exceptionally beautiful, like a little princess stepping out of a fairy tale.

Ling Ji opened her eyes, sat up, dressed herself, and after tidying up, she quietly left the Southern Palace and flew towards the Western Palace.

Inside the Western Palace, the guards emitted a chilling aura, their hands holding silver claws that glinted with icy cold light. Cold gleams flickered in the air, causing fear to grip people's hearts.

Standing opposite one of the guards was a sinister creature with sharp horns on top of its head and black reptilian skin all over its body.

"Hehehe..." The creature's lips parted, emitting a piercing laughter. Its mouth was filled with sharp fangs, giving it a terrifying and eerie appearance, and when its lips opened and closed, it was like a black hole engulfing everything.

"Guard, how dare you release me from the seal? Without Meng Zhang's help, how would you have defeated me?" The creature spoke in a sinister voice, with a hint of threat in its tone.

"Hehehe... hehehe..." The creature let out a sinister and eerie laugh, as if summoning an evil spirit.

"I released you to kill you." The guard's voice was filled with bloodlust and coldness.

"Hehehe... hehehe... Guard, it seems like you're the one who's going to die." The creature laughed wildly, its laughter accompanied by a chilling coldness, making people shudder.

The guard's pupils contracted as he clenched the silver claws in his hands. He emitted a chilling aura and his eyes flashed with two fierce killing intents, as sharp as two swords.

In a flash, he appeared in front of the creature like a gust of wind. He raised his right fist and a tremendous force surged through his arm as he viciously smashed down.

The punch was like a thunderous blow, carrying immense power, and it slammed towards the creature.

The creature's expression changed immediately. It hadn't expected the guard's strength to be so powerful. With just one punch, it felt a suffocating pressure.

The creature hurriedly tried to dodge, but it was too late. Its right shoulder was shattered by the guard's punch, and blood flowed out from the wound, staining its black skin red.

The creature howled in pain, surprised that its body couldn't withstand a single blow.

The guard didn't give the creature a chance to catch its breath. He wielded the silver claws in his hand and directly plunged them into its throat.

The creature's throat was immediately punctured, and its face showed an expression of disbelief, as if its eyes were about to pop out of their sockets.

The guard took the opportunity to lift the creature up. "Just a mere creature dares to resist this supreme god and sovereign!"

"You..." The creature's mouth hung open.

Before the creature could finish its words, a surge of golden and white pure Yang energy flowed into its body, and the creature instantly turned into ashes, dissipating into the air.

At this moment, Ling Ji arrived at the entrance of the Western Palace. She didn't dare to enter, after all, her mother had warned her that the palace was filled with creatures.

"Uncle Guard, are you there?" Ling Ji shouted towards the palace.

Upon hearing the voice, the guard immediately put away the silver claws in his hand and quickly came to the entrance with a smile on his face, as if he hadn't been the bloodthirsty person just now. "Why are you here? Why did you suddenly come to the Western Palace instead of staying at Ling Guang's place?"

"Mother changed my name to Ling Ji." Ling Ji said to the guard.

"Ling Chicken? Your mother's taste is truly unique, giving you such a name. Your uncle's evaluation is not inferior." The guard teased.

"Um..." Ling Ji was speechless.

"I'll just call you as I always have, it rolls off the tongue better." The guard asked.

"Either way is fine." Ling Ji nodded.

"What's the matter with Uncle Guard?" Ling Ji raised her head, her eyes filled with determination as she looked at the guard. "I want to become stronger."

The guard was momentarily stunned, but soon nodded and said, "Alright, Uncle Guard promises you. I will teach you to the best of my abilities. Before that, let me see your strength."

"Okay." A faint smile appeared on Ling Ji's lips.

As she spoke, Ling Ji drew out a blade from her storage space. The blade shimmered with a sharp and cold light as she slashed it towards the guard.

The guard reacted swiftly, effortlessly sidestepping Ling Ji's attack.

Lingji's attack missed, and her figure leaped up. With a flick of her sword blade, she continued to hack and slash at Jianbing.

Jianbing turned around, evading Lingji's attack, and then used the hilt of his knife to knock Lingji away.

Lingji's body rolled in midair, and then she spread open her bat wings to stabilize herself.

"Phew~" Lingji took a deep breath. Her uncle's reaction speed was unexpectedly fast, and her surprise attack didn't work at all.

Jianbing's eyes were filled with admiration. His niece's basic skills were solid.

After stabilizing herself, Lingji immediately attacked Jianbing. Her attack speed was extremely fast, like a phantom that was impossible to predict.

But in Jianbing's eyes, Lingji's movements were in slow motion. He could clearly see Lingji's attack trajectory and every variation in her moves.

Lingji's sword blade kept waving, bringing forth countless sword flowers. They formed fierce arcs in the air, slashing towards Jianbing's chest as if to tear him apart.

Jianbing remained calm. He waved the hilt of his knife to block Lingji's attacks, and his figure moved along with it.

While evading Lingji's attacks, Jianbing said to her, "Your basic skills are good, but you still have a long way to go to defeat me."

Lingji didn't intend to hide her strength. The sword of "Rolling Dust" quickly stabbed at Jianbing.

In Jianbing's pale blue eyes, a reflection of a sword suddenly appeared. The speed of the reflection was incredibly fast and fierce. Even though Jianbing managed to dodge in the nick of time, the pale blue longsword still pierced his scapula.

"Hmm, impressive swordsmanship!" Jianbing exclaimed, looking at the sword in Lingji's hands.

"Uncle, are you okay?"

"I'm fine. You're already very strong, you don't need me to teach you anything." Jianbing looked at his niece kindly and said.

"But I still feel like it's not enough!" Determination flashed in Lingji's eyes.

"There are many evil spirits in the Western Palace. You can train your sword skills against them. And I guess you haven't fully mastered your swordsmanship yet." Jianbai crossed his arms and looked at Lingji.

"Yes!" Lingji nodded.

"Then keep learning. There are plenty of evil spirits here for you to practice against." Jianbing smiled and said.

"Mother said that any random evil spirit in the Western Palace could kill me." Lingji lowered her head. "I haven't reached the level where I can kill evil spirits yet."

"Don't listen to your mother's nonsense. She's just afraid you'll get hurt, so she says such things on purpose." Jianbing patted Lingji's shoulder and said, "But it's fine. Sneak in if you want to. To enhance your strength, you'll have to pay some price. At the very least, you can let your mother beat you up, and besides, Ling Guang won't be willing to hit you."

After some thought, Lingji felt that her uncle's words made sense. If she wanted to become stronger, she had to pay a price, and she could accept that. Besides, her magic was currently sealed and she couldn't practice it, so she could only focus on improving her swordsmanship.

Baiyan was not magic. It seemed to be growing, and Lingji felt that the white flame on her left arm had undergone subtle changes in the past few days.

"Uncle Jianbing, I'm going back. Otherwise, mother will worry." Lingji bowed to Jianbing and turned to fly towards the South Palace.

"The little one has good manners." Jianbing watched Lingji's figure and said with a smile.

Jianbing looked at his own scapula and saw a large amount of blood flowing out. It was a wound left by Lingji's sword blade.

Jianbing extended his palm and lightly touched the wound on his shoulder, muttering to himself, "Looks like I have to go to Meng Zhang again for treatment. That name Lingji is really tasteless. I'll let Meng Zhang talk to Ling Guang and have her change the little one's name back."

After a while, Jianbing arrived at the East Palace.

He saw a little girl in a blue dress and white silk coming out of the bedroom. She held her hands and looked at Jianbing, saying, "No trouble, no entry into the Sanbao Hall. What do you have this time? And how did you break my Qimen Formation?"

"These little tricks of yours can't trap me. They can barely trap those evil spirits." Jianbing shrugged.

"Tsk." Meng Zhang cast a disdainful glance at Jianbing. "Tell me, how did you get the wound on your shoulder? Is it from those evil spirits?"

"When I was sparring with Lingji, I accidentally got it." Jianbing said.

"Lingji? Who's Lingji? And what kind of name is that?" Meng Zhang looked at Jianbing with a puzzled expression.

"Zero Chicken is the name Ling Guang gave her," the prison guard explained.

"Oh, I see. That name is not at all decent. I'll have Ling Guang change it back later, otherwise I'll snatch her away," Meng Zhang looked at the prison guard with disdain, "As the God King, you actually got injured. What a disgrace!"

"Her swordsmanship is not bad, I just made a mistake and let her take advantage of it," the prison guard said helplessly.

"I don't believe it," Meng Zhang scoffed, "If it was really just a mistake, why is there so much blood? Clearly, you were outmatched and lost to our niece."

"I used a scabbard, not a Soul Silver Claw," the prison guard retorted.

"Do you still want to use the Soul Silver Claw? Our niece is not even an adult yet. If she loses, she loses, it's not embarrassing. After all, we're all family, she won't mind," Meng Zhang said.

The prison guard had nothing to say, as if she had been beaten without any ability to fight back.

"If our niece wants to become stronger, she must cultivate. Should we take off her collar?" the prison guard suddenly asked.

"No. Some trivial matters in life may seem meaningless at first, but when we look back on their cause and effect after the passage of time, we find that they have had a tremendous impact. The relationship with her vampire mother is not over, how can we interfere? Let her solve these things herself," Meng Zhang said earnestly.

"I'll heal your injuries. Later, you can have Ling Guang change your name back from Ling Ji. That name is really lacking in dignity," the prison guard said.

"I'll go tomorrow. The treatment fee is a jar of wine. Thank you for the patronage, God King," Meng Zhang held out his hand.

"You'll have it," the prison guard said, and then turned and left.
