Ling Guang watched the two of them leave and then returned to the bedroom, closing the door behind him.

Once inside the room, Ling Guang walked to the edge of the bed and sat down, lowering his head to look at Iris. A gentle smile appeared in his eyes as he softly asked, "Little one, I am your..."

Iris felt a strong sense of familiarity with this red silhouette, combined with the voice. She thought of the red-clothed woman in her dream and muttered, "Dream Hawk, you really are a persistent person."

With those words, Iris kicked out at Ling Guang without hesitation.

Ling Guang instinctively dodged, then grabbed Iris's small foot with one hand and gently pulled, causing Iris to fall onto the bed.

"White Flame!" Iris shouted angrily as flames started to burn on her left hand. But when she saw that her target was Ling Guang, she retracted the flames.

Seeing the disappearance of the white silhouette on her left hand, Iris lost all her confidence, but she still pretended to be strong. "What have you done to me? Why can't I use my White Flame?"

A sinister smile appeared on Ling Guang's lips as he reached out and grabbed both of Iris's feet, lifting her up in the air.

"Ah!" Iris screamed in fear, struggling non-stop, but she couldn't escape being lifted up.

"You're caught now," Ling Guang said with a smirk. "I saved you from the abyss, I gave you those eyes, and the White Flame you use is my child flame. Call me 'mother' and I'll spare you this time."

"Spit!" Iris disdainfully spat out and defiantly said, "I won't call you mother."

After all, Iris had once recognized a mother. Once she accepted that title, she would be led by others. She didn't want to call Dream Hawk her mother.

She only recognized Meng Zhang as her mother, and no one else could be.

Not to mention, who gave her these eyes? Clearly, it was her aunt. This Dream Hawk was just trying to steal credit, truly despicable!

Iris's refusal to call her mother was expected by Ling Guang. Meng Zhang also told her to be patient and not in a rush, to teach her slowly. One day, the little one would call her "mother" on her own.

"Since you don't admit it, I can only give you a small punishment," Ling Guang said with a mischievous smile, then he extended a finger and lightly scratched Iris's feet wrapped in white silk.

Although the action was slight, it made Iris feel incredibly itchy and she begged, "It's so itchy, please stop scratching my feet!"

"Call me mother and I won't scratch you anymore," Ling Guang continued with a smug smile.

"You... you bully," Iris muttered in frustration.

"To call or not to call? If you don't, I'll keep scratching," Ling Guang said, reaching out to scratch her foot again.

"I won't!" Iris's face showed a resolute expression.

She struggled with her legs, trying to free herself from Ling Guang's grip. But no matter how hard she tried, her legs couldn't move, with both ankles firmly held by Ling Guang's hand, rendering her completely immobile.

Ling Guang gently stroked Iris's soft foot, a playful smile on his lips. "The little one's feet are quite soft. Just call me 'mother' and I won't scratch your feet anymore."

"I won't!" Iris shook her head.

"If you won't, then I'll keep scratching," Ling Guang said, lightly tracing Iris's fair foot with his finger.

"Ah! Stop scratching my feet! Please..." Iris screamed, feeling a tingling sensation in her foot and shivering involuntarily.

"Auntie, save me! Auntie..." Iris shouted.

Hearing Iris's cries, Ling Guang's smile widened. This little one really was adorable.

"Stop shouting, even if you shout your throat off, Meng Zhang has already gone back to the Eastern Palace to rest," Ling Guang said with a grin.

And so, Iris was tormented by Ling Guang's foot scratching for an hour until the spectacle finally came to an end, and everything quieted down.

Ling Guang was a bit tired and released Iris's foot, allowing her to lie down and rest on the bed.

She herself removed her shoes and socks, climbed onto the bed, and slept beside Iris.

After all, Ling Guang was truly exhausted, physically and mentally drained. She needed a good rest, and when she was fully rested, she would deal with Iris properly.

After a while, Ling Guang's breathing became steady, and she fell into a deep sleep.

Iris heard the calm breathing in her ear and slowly turned her body to look at Ling Guang beside her.

She quietly got out of bed, put on her shoes, and tried to leave the bedroom.

Her footsteps were light, as if a cat sneaking out of the door.

Iris reached the doorway of the bedroom and realized she couldn't leave. The door was locked to prevent her from escaping.

"Hmph! This Dream Eagle is despicable! Actually locking the door," Iris exclaimed angrily.

"White Flame Bird!" Iris softly called out, but there was no flame in her hand, as if her White Flame ability had been sealed. She turned her head and glanced at Ling Guang lying on the bed, then sighed softly, "Alas, it seems I can't escape. I'll have to wait for Auntie to come check my eyes tomorrow and have her take me away."

Iris thought silently in her heart, then turned around and went back to bed, covering herself with the blanket.

At midnight, Iris tossed and turned in bed unable to sleep. She wondered why the Dream Eagle appeared here.

This curiosity lingered in her mind, but she couldn't find an answer no matter how much she thought about it. In the end, she gave up thinking.

She shifted and used her spiritual eye to look at the Dream Eagle on the bed. This guy slept soundly and didn't do anything strange.

If it had been Liliya sleeping next to her, she would definitely hold Iris and keep her from moving, with her legs wrapped around her waist.

Every time, Iris would be kept awake by Liliya's antics.

Lost in her thoughts, Iris fell into deep sleep.

...

The next day, sunlight shone in through the windows and filled the entire hall, casting a golden glow.

A ray of sunlight shone through the window and fell on Ling Guang's face, highlighting her beautiful and charming features.

"Ugh!" Ling Guang opened her drowsy eyes, stretched lazily, yawned, rubbed her eyes, sat up, and stretched her muscles.

"I slept well last night." Ling Guang muttered to herself, got dressed, and walked towards the kitchen to prepare a delicious breakfast for her vampire daughter.

In the kitchen, Ling Guang cut her wrist and let the fresh blood drip into a bowl. Then she poured a large amount of garlic juice into it, stirred with a spoon, and added lemon juice to mask the garlic smell.

She looked at her creation with a satisfied smile on her face.

"Behave and call me 'mother' nicely, or else you'll have to drink garlic blood every day." Ling Guang muttered to herself, then picked up the bowl and walked out of the kitchen.

She returned to the bedroom and saw that Iris was still sleeping. She placed the bowl on the table and walked to the bedside, gently waking her up with a smile, "Little one, it's time to eat."

Although Iris woke up, she pretended to be asleep. She felt a bit uneasy, not knowing if the Dream Eagle would continue tickling her feet.

Seeing Iris not responding, Ling Guang hmphed and said, "Do you want me to tickle your feet?" She then extended her right index finger, ready to tickle Iris's feet.

Ling Guang reached towards Iris's white silky feet, but Iris suddenly pulled her feet into the blanket, evading Ling Guang's attack.

"Still pretending to be asleep? Do you want me to uncover the blanket and tickle your feet?" Ling Guang threatened with a smile when she saw Iris refusing to get up.

Iris had no choice but to give in, showing a pleasing expression. "No... I won't pretend to sleep anymore, okay?" She prayed in her heart, "Auntie, come and save me quickly..."

Satisfied that Iris finally got up, Ling Guang smiled brightly and said, "Come, drink blood." She scooped a spoonful and held it to Iris's lips.

Iris caught a whiff of the blood and didn't want to drink it, but she was afraid of the Dream Eagle tickling her feet, so she reluctantly opened her small mouth and swallowed the blood.

The strong garlic aroma filled her mouth, making her feel nauseous. She wanted to spit out the blood.

But Ling Guang swiftly covered Iris's mouth, forcing her to swallow the blood.

"Good girl, let's continue drinking. There's plenty more." Ling Guang smiled and scooped another spoonful, bringing it to Iris's lips for her to drink.

"Why add garlic to the blood? I don't want to drink it!" Iris shook her head vigorously, rejecting the idea.

"Garlic is a good thing. It can detoxify, aid digestion, help lose weight, and lower blood sugar levels for humans," Ling Guang patiently explained.

"For humans, it might be a good thing. But I'm a vampire, I absolutely cannot eat garlic. It damages my normal digestive system and nervous system, and too much of it will make my throat swell up," Iris explained, shaking her head.

Upon hearing Iris's words, Lingguang immediately inserted her fingers into Iris's mouth and gently poked a few times.

"Gag..." Iris felt nauseous and immediately vomited the blood she had just swallowed into the bowl.

Seeing this scene, Lingguang poured another cup of water and brought it to Iris's mouth, saying, "Drink some water to rinse your mouth."

Iris dared not take the cup, afraid that it might contain garlic juice mixed in.

"There's no garlic juice in it. If there were, I would turn purple on the spot." Lingguang's tone was somewhat anxious. After all, she was a first-time mother, and her daughter happened to be a vampire. She knew that vampires cannot eat garlic, but she wasn't sure of the specific consequences. She only intended to torment Iris a little and force her to call her mother, nothing more.

Upon hearing this, Iris immediately took the cup from Lingguang's hand and rinsed her mouth, then handed the cup back to Lingguang.

Lingguang embraced Iris in her arms and gently stroked her back. "I'm sorry, I won't force you to call me mother anymore. Just treat me as you treat Mengzhang, call me Aunt, alright?"

"Aunt... Aunt..." Iris weakly called out.

"Mmm." Lingguang responded. She wiped away the tears in her eyes, smiled slightly, and said, "If you're hungry, just drink my blood directly."

Iris was slightly stunned. She didn't expect Lingguang to let her drink blood. What was she doing today?

Seeing that Iris showed no signs of wanting to drink her blood, Lingguang simply cut her wrist and let the blood drip into Iris's mouth. Then, she held her in her arms and let her drink the blood.

"Drink," Lingguang said gently.

Iris hesitated for a long time but finally clenched her teeth and drank the blood that Lingguang fed her.

The taste of the blood was very familiar. When she was on the brink of death, someone had also fed her blood. The taste of that blood was exactly the same as the blood of the Dream Eagle. Could it be the person who had rescued her from the abyss?
