There were many murals on the stone walls. Iris watched carefully, afraid to touch anything and trigger any mechanism.
Iris took a quick glance at the content depicted in the murals.
A large red bird with golden flames, surrounded by countless monster corpses and bones. Behind the bird were a pair of fiery red wings, burning with dazzling flames.
It was obvious how powerful this red bird was, as it defeated each and every strong monster with its claws.
"I hope this bird is not some kind of monster that lives here," Iris whispered, a hint of fear rising in her heart.
Iris continued walking forward, her heart gradually calming down as she stopped overthinking and focused on finding an exit.
She walked on without knowing how long, when suddenly, she felt a strong elemental energy fluctuation up ahead.
Iris raised her head and followed the energy fluctuation, spotting an uneven pit on the stone wall ahead.
She approached the pit, bent down, and used her slender arm to dig out the hole.
"Boom..." A loud rumbling sound suddenly came from the stone wall as a huge rock fell from the pit and crashed onto the ground, sending stone fragments flying everywhere.
Iris stumbled back a few steps, almost falling to the ground.
"Phew..." Iris took a deep breath, patting her chest. It was really dangerous just now.
She looked up at the stone wall in front of her, noticing several grooves and dark openings. Something seemed to be squirming inside those openings.
Afraid of accidentally triggering a trap, Iris dared not get closer.
However, Iris did not leave this cave; instead, she stood at the edge of the pit, quietly watching it.
She had a vague feeling that there must be some treasures inside this pit.
Iris carefully examined the pit but couldn't discern anything after looking for a long time.
"My intuition is usually accurate. There must be treasures inside this pit," Iris secretly thought.
With this in mind, Iris took a deep breath and slowly walked towards the pit, being extremely cautious and not letting her guard down.
She entered the pit, where it was pitch black. For vampires like her, the dark environment posed no threat. However, Iris felt that her night vision was much weaker than a few years ago.
Not daring to be careless, Iris carefully moved forward, trying to avoid any dangerous items inside the pit. She went deeper into the pit, feeling increasingly nervous.
Her heart was pounding, as if something was stirring inside her chest.
After pausing for a few seconds, Iris continued walking into the pit, her speed slow, afraid of stepping on a mechanism.
Walking inside the pit, Iris felt a pair of eerie eyes coldly watching her.
She looked around, but besides the pitch-black darkness, there was nothing else.
A sense of panic rose in Iris's heart. She felt that there were eyes staring at her from behind, as though invisible hands were squeezing her neck, ready to strangle her with just a little force.
Iris trembled, feeling a chill down her spine. Goosebumps covered her body. She was filled with intense fear. She didn't want to die; she hadn't fulfilled her promise with Starry yet. How could she die here?
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh..." Just then, Iris heard a series of rapid winds. Her fear deepened, and her body stiffened slightly. She felt many things rushing toward her from behind, suppressing her to the point of suffocation.
This feeling was genuinely terrible.
Iris took a deep breath and flicked her left hand. White flames burst forth, forming a protective barrier around her left hand.
Her left hand felt warm and soft, giving her an inexplicable sense of security.
This is the advantage of having strong personal strength. If Iris didn't have the White Blaze, she would never have dared to come here.
Iris continued walking into the pit. As she walked, excitement sparked in her eyes because she sensed that the passage she was taking now was wider and filled with even more abundant elemental energy compared to the previous cave.
Iris slipped and fell to the ground, and a small ball rolled to her feet. After rolling two rounds, it stopped and made a gurgling sound.
Iris picked up the ball from the ground and examined it carefully. The ball was silver-gray and had some strange patterns on its surface. A faint energy fluctuation emanated from inside the ball. Iris looked at the ball carefully and felt a sense of curiosity. What exactly is this thing?
After thinking for a long time, Iris couldn't figure it out, so she put the ball into her storage ring.
She continued to move forward, step by step, deeper into the inner part. The elemental energy inside became stronger as she walked.
"Splash..."
Suddenly, the sound of flowing water reached Iris's ears. Iris's heart stirred upon hearing this and she followed the sound.
Iris found a pool of water ahead, filled with countless black insect eggs. These black insect eggs covered the entire bottom of the water, layer upon layer, like spheres.
If someone with a fear of dense things saw this scene, they would probably faint in horror. It was just too disgusting, seeing the black eggs piling up together, looking like spheres.
"Gurgle... Gurgle..." The black insect eggs stayed motionless there. Seeing this, Iris wrapped her palm with white flames, swung her hand forcefully, and instantly, a white flame burst out from her right palm, turning into clusters of fire, flying towards the black insect eggs, incinerating them.
A burnt smell filled the air as the black insect eggs were all destroyed.
A smile appeared on Iris's face. She continued to walk forward and found a fork in the road. She decided to continue forward.
After walking for a while, she saw a faint blue light shimmering ahead, emitting strong elemental energy fluctuations.
Iris reached the light and found a sword.
This sword emitted a faint blue light, with a sharp blade and intricate and exquisite patterns engraved on the sword's body.
Looking at the sword, Iris couldn't help but swallow her saliva. This sword emitted a tempting allure.
"What a good item!" A greedy desire surged in Iris's heart, and she couldn't help licking her lips.
"Whoosh!"
Iris quickly rushed to the front of the faint blue light, stretched out her right hand, and grabbed the hilt of the sword, gently rotating it. Immediately, a sharp sword aura burst out.
This sword aura directly left a long mark on the stone wall, showing its tremendous power and unparalleled sharpness.
"What a sharp sword!" Iris felt excited. She didn't expect this sword to be so powerful. It looked very beautiful, but the aura it emitted was extraordinary.
The sword's body was engraved with intricate and complex runes, which seemed to come alive, constantly roaming on the sword.
"It's a pity it doesn't have a scabbard." Iris regretfully murmured.
"It's better to have it than to have nothing. With the white flames and this sword, I should be able to survive here." Iris contemplated in her heart.
