On top of the volcano, flames rose into the sky and molten lava flowed down.
A stone bridge was swept up by the waves of fire and soared into the sky. With the rising temperature, it crossed over the flames and disappeared into the horizon.
A dense crowd gathered here, staring at the surging lava, everyone trembling with fear.
"Run! Run quickly, it's almost too late." Someone panicked.
"Run, run!"
"Run!"
"Hurry up, if we're any slower, it might be too late."
People scattered in a panic, but no one dared to stop because everyone knew that if they didn't escape quickly, it would be too late when they were engulfed by the lava.
"Ah! Ah! Help! Help!"
A few elderly people, hindered by their slow legs, were swept away by the surging lava and instantly turned to ashes, disappearing into the air, leaving only a few pieces of fluttering clothing.
A terrifying heatwave rushed towards them, making everyone dizzy and almost unable to stand. They all desperately ran forward.
Some people couldn't run anymore and collapsed on the ground, gasping for breath, but no one dared to stop. They all ran desperately, fearing that if they were a second too slow, it would be a dead end.
"Boom!"
"Boom!"
Suddenly, a series of violent explosions sounded. People looked back and saw the volcano erupting, throwing up towering waves. One after another, red mushroom clouds rose into the sky, forming a giant mushroom cloud in mid-air, obscuring the entire volcano, making it impossible to see what was happening inside.
As they looked at the huge mushroom cloud in the sky, everyone took a cold breath. This terrifying scene was incredibly shocking and alarming.
Gradually, the mushroom cloud began to dissipate, but people still felt the terrifying energy fluctuations emanating from the volcano. The oppressive atmosphere made it hard to breathe, as if some colossal creature was about to descend.
"What...what's going on?"
"It seems that something is about to emerge."
"No, I have to go! Let's run, or we might lose our lives here."
"Yes, yes, I need to run."
"Run!"
Everyone hurriedly ran, frantically escaping forward, oblivious to the man on the giant mushroom cloud above.
"Phew~ I've finally been revived!" The man slowly opened his eyes, a gleeful smile spreading across his face. His ecstatic joy was palpable.
The man had two horns on his head, a muscular and naked body with bulging muscles, hands as thick as steel. His body was covered in golden-red runes, looking extremely fierce and terrifying.
He used the lava to make clothes for himself, covering his naked body, but even so, his muscular physique was still visible, making it impossible to ignore.
Then, he transformed into a human form, spreading out black wings with sharp spikes at the edges, resembling steel knives.
He was the fourth-ranked demon in the Demon Clan's hierarchy - Inferno Blaze.
Inferno Blaze folded his wings and arrived at the border city of the Azure Moon Empire - Golden Sands City. He looked around curiously at everything surrounding him.
"A million years have passed, and humans still live in such simple and shabby conditions? They still lead such impoverished lives." Inferno Blaze frowned.
Suddenly, he heard a commotion ahead. His brows furrowed as he turned in the direction of the noise, only to see several men dressed the same, relentlessly bullying a woman in tattered clothes. The woman had blood running from her mouth and her cheeks were swollen.
"Let go of my mother!" A girl next to them yelled angrily.
Inferno Blaze's eyes narrowed slightly as he observed the young girl.
The young girl was dressed in ragged clothes. Although dirty, her beauty couldn't be concealed, especially her pair of beautiful eyes, filled with stubbornness and radiance, shining like stars in the night sky.
"We should have known we had such a beautiful daughter; she could have been our young master's concubine. That way, you wouldn't have to repay the debt." The men spoke shamelessly, wearing an arrogant look.
"Jing...Jinghe, run...run...quickly..." The woman, who was being held, turned pale and weakly pleaded, her lips turning purple and her body twitching.
No one dared to gather around, everyone kept their distance, seemingly afraid to get involved.
One of the guards, seeing Inferno Blaze not moving, became unhappy and grabbed his collar, angrily shouting, "Hey, punk, what are you looking at? Get lost, or do you want to get beaten up?"
Huang Ming couldn't understand why these people were inexplicably causing trouble. He had just come out of the lava, how did he encounter such a trouble?
"Get lost!" Huang Ming coldly spit out the two words.
"Oh? You actually told me to get lost. I've never seen such an impudent brat like you. Since that's the case, let me grant your wish!" The guard sneered and slapped him.
"Snap!"
"Bang!"
The guard's slap landed directly on Huang Ming's face, making a crisp sound.
Huang Ming threw a punch, directly hitting the guard's right arm. The guard's arm shattered, causing him to scream in pain.
"Long time no see, human's courage has grown."
"I say we cripple this kid's cultivation first and let him reflect!" a guard said coldly.
The guards all began walking towards Huang Ming, their faces filled with malice.
Suddenly, flames ignited all over Huang Ming's body, like a burning man. His skin turned scarlet red, radiating intense heat. The temperature in the surroundings rose several degrees due to the heat from the flames.
The guards' faces changed, momentarily frozen in fear.
Huang Ming rushed forward, grabbing one guard by the neck. The flames on his arm directly entered the guard's neck, reducing him to ashes.
"Ah!"
The remaining guards let out miserable screams, their faces pale with fear. They retreated backward, filled with dread.
"You all, get lost!"
Huang Ming shouted coldly, and the flames burning on his body instantly extinguished, revealing a stern face.
The guards' faces turned pale, each looking extremely embarrassed. They no longer dared to be aggressive and hastily turned to flee.
"Thank you for saving me!" The woman knelt down on the ground, her face filled with excitement as she continuously kowtowed to Huang Ming.
"They brought it upon themselves," Huang Ming said.
"Is there a place to stay here?"
"If you don't mind, please come to my house," the woman said.
"Alright, lead the way."
Huang Ming looked at the people around him, all thin and ragged, obviously not living a prosperous life. Even the commoners wore thin clothes, trembling and covered in dust, looking very miserable.
Those guards had good clothes, yet they wanted the girl to become a concubine for their young master. What is the difference between them and the guys from Wutu who oppress their fellow compatriots?
When Huang Ming first saw humans, they supported and helped each other in times of hardship. They cared for and assisted each other. Now they could commit such acts of oppressing their fellow compatriots, which Huang Ming couldn't understand.
Following the woman, Huang Ming arrived at a dilapidated house. The woman pushed open the door.
"It's a bit crude here, please forgive us," the woman said.
Huang Ming smiled slightly and said, "It's fine. Although it's simple, it's comfortable. It's good for you to live here."
After speaking, he walked straight into the rundown house. Inside, there were beds, tables, chairs, and many miscellaneous items, all in a mess.
The woman quickly guided Huang Ming to sit down.
"Please wait a moment, I'll tidy up the bed."
"Okay!" Huang Ming nodded slightly.
After a while, the woman tidied up the bed and placed it in the room, adding a layer of straw.
"Please have some water while I prepare food!" the woman said.
"Thank you!"
Huang Ming looked at the sediment in the water in the cup. These humans were even worse off than the humans from his era.
Soon, the woman brought some food, a bowl of rice soup and some leaves and roots boiled in hot water.
Beside him, Jing He couldn't help but salivate when looking at the rice soup and roots. It had been a long time since they had eaten rice at home, and she almost forgot the taste of rice.
Seeing Jing He's expression, Huang Ming pushed the rice soup towards her and said, "Eat!"
Jing He immediately shook her head and said, "No... no need, sir. I'm not hungry."
"Don't be so polite. Just call me Huang Ming. You can have a taste of the rice soup, I will take you to eat something delicious tonight."
"Well..." Jing He hesitated for a while, but in the end, she accepted the bowl of rice soup and drank it eagerly.
"Humans used to have much better days." Huang Ming mumbled to himself.
"Ah?" Jinghe, sipping on his rice soup, heard Huangming talking to himself and couldn't help but ask.
Huangming smiled but didn't answer Jinghe's question. Instead, he changed the subject and asked, "By the way, what's your name?"
"I'm called Jinghe," Jinghe quickly replied.
" It's a great name," Huangming muttered.
"Hehe." Seeing Jinghe's shy appearance, Huangming laughed and said, "Well, hurry up and eat."
"Oh," Jinghe responded, then continued to lower his head and eat.
