Chapter 187: Feeling Relief when Blood Stops Flowing.

Lilia untied the restraints on Baiyin's body, then opened the cage and let Baiying out.

Baiying trembled before Lilia.

Lilia looked at Baiying, trembling in the cage, and felt a little sorry for this little creature. After all, it was still a young monster.

"Baiyin, what is the name of this little white creature?" Lilia curiously asked Baiyin.

Baiyin responded immediately, "She is called Baiying, Mother's other summoned beast." Baiyin explained as she called Baiying to come out of the cage.

Baiying crawled out of the cage when she heard her sister calling her.

"Yingying... Yingying... Yingying..." Baiying stood straight, making a soft and tender sound.

After Baiyin untied all of Baiying's restraints, she held her in her arms and comforted her, saying, "She is our grandmother. Grandmother has never seen us before and thought we would hurt Mother, so she caught us, but it's okay now."

Baiying nodded, then snuggled in Baiyin's arms.

"Is Grandmother going to punish Mother again when she gets better?" Baiyin asked softly.

Lilia shook her head and said, "The truth about what happened back then has been uncovered. I feel guilty about what happened to Iris. I just hope Iris won't hold a grudge against me. After all, it was my misunderstanding that led to her suffering inhuman abuse..."

As Lilia said this, her expression became somewhat bleak, showing a deep sadness. She took a deep breath, suppressed her sadness, and continued, "Regardless, I will do my best to make it up to Iris."

Baiyin sighed in relief when she heard Lilia's words. She patted her chest and said with lingering fear, "That's great, that's great. The misunderstanding between Grandmother and Mother is resolved."

Now Baiyin can return to the days when she didn't have to worry about food and drink, haha...

Lilia seemed to know what Baiyin was thinking and said, "If you need anything, just tell the maids. I'm going to see Iris."

"Okay, thank you, Grandmother," Baiyin sweetly responded.

After Lilia left, Baiyin began to eat heartily and let the maids bring fresh animal milk for Baiying.

Baiying ate the milk with great satisfaction. Her mouth smacked, and her eyes narrowed. She seemed to really enjoy the delicious taste.

Baiyin grabbed a chicken leg and gnawed on it, making her mouth full of oil. Some meat residue even stuck to the corners of her mouth, making her look quite funny. She ate happily, and soon her little belly bulged.

"Burp, burp, burp~!" Baiyin held her round belly and burped a few times with contentment.

Baiying's belly was also round and she touched her bulging belly with her small hands, making smacking noises.

...

"Report to Her Majesty, the Queen, the two monsters did not cause any secondary harm to the Princess," Candace reported to Lilia.

"I know, those two little creatures are Iris's summoned beasts. Take care of them," Lilia replied.

"Yes!" Candace responded respectfully and then left.

...

Three days passed in the blink of an eye.

Lilia became increasingly exhausted and lacked energy, as if something had drained her completely.

During this time, Lilia not only had to handle state affairs but also had to feed her young daughters with blood and take care of the unconscious Iris.

Although Lilia could order the maids to take care of them, she insisted on doing it herself. Perhaps only in this way could she alleviate her guilt towards Iris. Lilia wanted to make up for what she owed Iris through this method.

"Grandmother, go have dinner and rest. Let me take care of Mother," Baiyin whispered, sitting beside Lilia.

Baiying crawled next to Iris, rubbing her arms with her small head, trying to wake her up.

Lilia looked at Baiying and Iris, sighed softly, nodded, and then left the room, returning to the dining hall.

After Lilia left, Baiyin looked at Baiying and said, "It's futile, Baiying. Save your energy."

But Baiying ignored her and firmly believed that as long as she persisted, she would be able to wake her mother up.

She continued to rub her mother's arm with her white head, hoping to awaken her.

Baiyin shook her head when she saw this and stopped trying to persuade Baiying. She then left the room to find hot water to help wash Iris's body.

Not long after Baiju left, Iris's hand moved, and she slowly opened her eyes, looking around. She saw Baiying lying next to her, with a smile on her face. She slowly lifted her hand and touched Baiying's small head.

Baiying also noticed Iris's movement, and it grinned, grabbing Iris's hand with its small claw.

Iris was slightly surprised to see Baiying grabbing her hand, but then she smiled gently.

"Ying ying ying!" Baiying exclaimed excitedly, pushing its head into Iris's arms.

Iris touched Baiying's smooth body, gently caressing it as if she was caressing a baby.

"Ying ying ying!" Baiying continued to make happy sounds, expressing its joy.

Iris realized that her upper arm bones were wrapped in bandages, and upon closer inspection, she found that the arm bones had been pierced by needle-like objects. She glanced at her thigh bones and found that they were also wrapped in bandages, likely pierced as well.

Obviously, Iris could imagine the situation at that time. She must have been pierced in all four limbs by four spikes and then nailed to the bed.

Looking at the way the bandages were wrapped, Iris felt a strange familiarity, but she couldn't pinpoint where it came from, she just felt familiar.

Iris looked around and realized that she was actually in Lilia's bedroom.

"No wonder the bandage wrapping is so familiar, it was done by Lilia," Iris thought to herself.

While Lilia hadn't noticed her, Iris wanted to leave quickly, otherwise she didn't know how Lilia would torture her again.

She felt weak all over and with her injuries, it was difficult to even sit on the bed, let alone escape.

"Chaos, help me heal my injuries..." Iris called out to Chaos in her mind.

Chaos didn't respond, so Iris sighed helplessly and thought, "This Chaos is pretending to be dead again, I have to rely on myself at critical moments."

After complaining in her mind, Iris closed her eyes and silently channeled the magic energy within her, preparing to mobilize the power of shadows in the Consciousness Space and let the shadows take her away from here.

After a moment, Iris suddenly opened her eyes and found that there was no fluctuation of magic energy within her.

"What's going on? Why can't I feel any fluctuation of magic energy?" Iris frowned, full of confusion.

Iris tentatively tried to mobilize the magic energy within her body, but unfortunately, there was no response. She closed her eyes again and tried to sense the Consciousness Space, but she still felt nothing.

She couldn't believe the anomaly in her body. She tried to sense the Consciousness Space again, but still felt nothing.

This time, Iris panicked completely.

Chaos disappeared, magic energy disappeared, the Consciousness Space couldn't be sensed. All of this indicated that she was now completely useless.

If she stayed here, wouldn't it be a dead end?

Just thinking about the fate she was about to face made Iris tremble with fear.

She tried to call Chaos again, but there was no response at all. Iris couldn't even sense Chaos, and all of this made her extremely desperate.

"I still have Baiju... No, Baiju is molting, it's impossible for him to come out of the stargate."

Iris began to crawl out of bed, but the pain in her limbs made it impossible for her to stand.

"No... I have to escape."

"But where can I escape to?"

"No... I don't want to die..."

"I need to find a safe place to hide."

Gritting her teeth, Iris climbed down from the bed, ignoring the fresh blood flowing from her wounds. She tried to stand up with the support of a chair, but accidentally, her leg wound burst open, and blood gushed out, staining Iris's white skirt and her fair and smooth skin.

"Ying ying ying~ ying ying ying." Baiying cried beside her, wanting its mother to stop moving.

"Be quiet," Iris's cold voice came, scaring Baiying into immediately stopping its sobs.

Baiying lowered its head, tears falling continuously as it looked at Iris with heartache. But it couldn't speak, it could only silently shed tears by the side.

"Even if I can't stand, I must crawl away from here."

Iris gritted her teeth and continued crawling forward. With each step, fresh blood poured out from her wounds, staining her clothes red.

"Sob sob sob~" Baiying chokingly sobbed on the side, feeling an immense sense of guilt. If she were older and could speak, she could have helped her mother.

Thinking this, Baiying cried even more.

Finally, Iris reached the door. It was closed at the moment. She pushed it with all her strength, and then used all her energy to crawl out. As she crawled, she became so exhausted that she collapsed on the ground, unable to move. She had no strength left, only enough to catch her breath.

The wound on her upper arm was still oozing fresh blood, staining the bandage a shocking red color.

Iris flipped over with effort, tearing open the wound and causing an even more profuse bleeding.

However, Iris didn't care about the pain and bleeding. Since death was inevitable, she would rather be released from suffering sooner than later.

"Haha... it seems I can't escape this time..."

Iris gazed at the ceiling with a bitter smile on her face.

"Sob sob sob." Baiying's tears fell even harder. As she sobbed, she licked Iris's wound.

"Baiying, you don't need to lick it anymore. I'm going to die. At most, you'll be seriously injured. Lilith will save you. Live well!" Iris said to Baiying, then closed her eyes and waited for the moment when her blood would stop flowing, when she would finally be released.

Her only regret was that she couldn't fulfill the two-year promise with Xingli.
